⚠️MENTION OF SUICIDE⚠️
Betty struggled. A lot. Her parents knew and her close friend knew but no one could help her out of that black hole that was depression for her.Only him...Jughead Jones. Betty's boyfriend, soulmate, lifesaver and so much more.
He understood her, like nobody else did. He never disagreed about the things she said but also never agreed, he let her talk and explain, she loved that about him.
He didn't care if she was talking for hours or just a minute, he always listened. Instead of her parents, who just thought she needed some attention, Jughead cared deeply for her.
They were almost always together, that made them happy, being with each other. He was the light dot in her black tunnel. And even though some days she didn't have courage to show any happy emotions she still managed to light up his day just with her presence.
They had just said goodbye to each other a few hours ago. Betty had stayed the night at Jughead's place and left around noon. It was now evening and Jughead was almost coming to her place since her parents had planned a formal dinner for their work.
He wouldn't leave to Betty's for another hour but he decided to call her, ask her if she was hungry and maybe wanted to get a good pops meal.
He called.
Her phone rang.
She picked up.
Immediately Jughead could her hear sobs and muffles in his ear. "Betts, are you okay?" He asked.
But he knew it, he just knew it.
She was not okay.
"N-no", she sobbed.
"Alright, it's okay..I'm coming over right now. Are your parents gone yet?"
"Y-yes"
"Okay, just stay were you are okay, I'm almost there", he told her. "Don't forget that I love you more than anything"
She wanted to say it back to him because it felt like it could be the last time. But before she was able to open her mouth again Jughead ended the call.
He had ran out of his trailer, jumped on his motorcycle and drove straight to the Northside. When he jumped off in front of her house, everything was so peaceful.
He bend down and lifted up the flower pot, knowing there was a spare key. After he placed it in the keyhole and unlocked the front, he took a few deep breaths.
From previous events and some research, Jughead knew that whatever happens he had to stay calm and make her feel like everything is alright.
He opened the door and stepped inside. He looked around. No one.
"Betty!?" He called.
No one answered.
He decided to go upstairs, see if she was in her room. He walked up the stairs and stopped halfway.
Still no sounds.
"Betty!?" He called again.
Suddenly he heard quiet sobs coming from the bathroom. He rushed into her room to the bathroom. They were louder now.
"Betts, are you in there?" He asked, even though he knew for sure she was.
"N-no", she sobbed.
Jughead grabbed onto the handle from the door. "Bett-..", he said while bring it down, but noticed it was locked.
"Baby why did you lock the door, can you let me in?" Jughead asked friendly.
God he was so good at this.
