(Lily's POV)

"Excuse me madam Garrix, you're one minute late," The tall blonde boy shook his head, his dimple popping out as he smirked at his joke. I smiled in response, feeling myself blush slightly as I slid my hands out of the grey hoody pocket - the latest of the collection he was stocking me up with of his hoodies.
"Shut up," I shook my head, shyly looking to the floor in embarrassment as I tried to hide my smile.
"What's the deal then? Are you together yet?" Lester asked, hopping behind the bar from the nearly empty pub floor.
"Don't be silly, we hardly know eachother. We're just becoming friends," I reassured them, and myself, to avoid disappointment. Of course I liked him, Id adored him all my life. But to him, I was just another fan. And that's all I ever would be. The two males looked between eachother, smirking.
"What?!" I responded.
"Nothing! Nothing," they chorused, both rushing off to their own work stations - Simon back to cleaning the glasses and Lester serving the customers who had not long come in.

The next few weeks passed in a blur. December hurried quicker than I thought possible, and I found myself awakened the morning on Christmas Eve. It felt oddly lonely in my cosy home without the festive excitement of my younger sibling, and lack of work for my mum. But I'm a different way, I felt completely embraced in warmth and joy. I slipped my bare feet out of my snug bed, the artificial wooden floor freezing me to the spot before I reached for my cream fluffy slippers. Quickly, I grabbed a thick fleecy hoodie from my wardrobe and pulled on matching joggers, adjusting my hair into loose plaits. The ground was covered thickly in white blankets, the sky promising more to come. With a deep breath of fresh morning air throughout the cosy cabin, I took myself into the kitchen and made myself a hot chocolate.

So far my day had been fairly boring, but still wonderful in a peacefully festive sense. But my thoughts were distracted as a gentle knock bounced off my front door. Without hesitation, I reached for the door handle and was presented with a smiling male.
"Goedemorgen, Lily! What are your plans for this day?" Denis smiled, rubbing has hands between his thick black gloves, the snow floating under the wooden porch and decorating his already white hair.
"I actually don't have any," I shrugged, scratching my neck awkwardly as to why I was so boring.
"Why don't you see if any of your friends are around? The Christmas market is on in the square and it's beautiful, it would be a shame for you to sit in here alone when you could see that," he responded. This was a great idea which excited me. I thanked him and soon said bye for the day, before heading back into the warmth and reaching for my phone.
"What do you want?" A playful men's voice spoke down the phone after a number of rings.
"Lovely to speak to you too, Lest. Are you busy today?" I laughed.
"Going to see Josie's parents for Christmas, why?" He crackled down the line.
"Urgh nevermind. I'll ask Simon instead. Byeee"
"It's too early for this, Lil," a croaky Simon coughed down the line.
"It's nearly lunchtime, get up! And come into town with me this afternoon?" I pleaded for company.
"Can't today pal, working unlike others," he responded.
"Boring," I laughed, soon ending the call.
One more person crossed my mind to ask, but I felt a wave of anxiety spread across my chest as I reached his name in my phone.
"Good morning, darling lily," a cheery voice welcome me down the phone, unlike those of my playful friends.
"Hey Marty, what are you doing today?" I grinned down the phone, all anxiety faded within seconds.
"I was just going to head down to the studio and chill for abit, unless you had a better plan?" He enthusiastically communicated.
"I was going to go into the square and visit the market, I didn't know if you wanted to come with me?" I asked, balancing my phone between my shoulder and my cheek as I shook the cream throw off the sofa and continued dusting my way around the house.
"That sounds great! Why don't I come to yours and we'll walk down,"
"Sounds perfect, see you soon!" I said my byes and hung up the phone, needing to rush to get ready.
Within about 15 minutes, I'd showered, dried my hair and chosen an outfit consisting of my cosiest brown teddy bear coat, a beige bodysuit and my black flared jeans. My makeup was done naturally and I was ready. On queue, I heard the front door push open, as I had instructed the boy to come straight in. I felt comfortable with him welcoming himself to my home, after all.
"Lily?" I heard a cheery accent call, causing me to flutter internally.
"Hey Martijn," I smirked, slipping out from the bedroom and entering the living room where the brunette boy stood with a huge smile.
"I've missed you!" He opened his arms wide, the skin around his perfectly grey turquoise eyes creasing as his smile expanded. I felt my cheeks crimson sweetly, a smile erupting on my own face as I ran the short distance and jumped into his arms, my legs wrapped around his strong waist and my head buried into his warm neck which smelt of comfort.
"Ive missed you too, Marty," I whispered into his warm skin, feel the hairs rise as I did. Although he'd been touring for only one week, I hadn't seen him for weeks prior to that and it was lovely to be reunited with my friend. After minutes, I realised from the cuddle, but remained in his arms, staring deeply into his mesmerising eyes. I wish I knew what he was thinking.
