POPPY KNEW SHE was destined to die...

She witnessed what people could do to the innocent and desperate before humanity decreased to a limited number of communities that loathed each other. She witnessed and survived a lot while being with her best friend and sister since the beginning.

After having a run-in with a group of survivors, she got separated from her sister and friend. So, after a night's rest, she decided to set out to find them. And when she did, it was their cold, decomposing bodies lying peacefully in a small house. On the wall they rested against, there was blood lettering that read, 'Your apology wasn't enough.' This world was too much for her; she felt defeated. The only people keeping her alive were gone forever, and it wasn't long until she was pleading for God to take her life. She was ready, standing in the road, the pouring rain running across her pale skin. She was waiting for the flesh-eating freaks to rip her to shreds; it was her time. She wanted to die, but yet she didn't have the courage to end herself. She no longer believed in God, only evil. After countless hours of waiting for her demise, it never came. She decided with dread to continue her endless journey, trying to be strong. But it wasn't enough. The endless hunger, loneliness, and fear consumed her frail body and fragile mind.

At the highest point of struggle, she came across a group of civilians who accepted her into their lives. She had realized a long time ago that the world was cruel, but now she knows not all the people in it were sinister!"
