Dealing With It [~] Chapter 2

"What do you mean Muzan was slayed?!" Shinazugawa said, eyes wide with disbelief.

"A demon messenger came to use and alerted us of his death. They said that he battled with a stronger demon, who replaced him as the demon leader." Ubuyashiki explained. "Demon rumors also say that this new leader can walk in the sun."

"If that's true, then the only way to kill this new demon leader is to chop off their head." Kocho said, deep in thought.

"But what if it's immune to that, too?" Kanroji said, clearly troubled.

"I bet you it was that traitorous demon bitch!" Shinazugawa shouted. "She left and then, boom! There's a new demon leader!"

"Who is that again..?" Muichiro muttered quietly to himself.

"I agree with Shinazugawa-san," Iguro said. The other Hashira turned to him in shock.

"I, flamboyantly, agree as well." Tengen said, as if he was the most glorious creature to ever walk the earth.

"Well, we'll have to-"

Tomioka was cut of by a scream from...

"Butterfly Mansion!" Kocho cried, rushing towards her home. The other Hashira pursued, willing to help the Insect Hashira.

When they arrived, they were met with the sight of Aoi, the girls and the Kamaboku squad unconscious on the ground. Mitsuri and Shinobu ran over to check their pulses, nodding with relief when they felt beating hearts.

"Wait..." Tomioka said suddenly, looking around in horror. "W-Where's Tanjiro?"

The other Hashira looked around, quickly realizing that the boy was not in the room. "Search the other rooms, or even the yard. This... Thing could have dragged him to a different room or even killed him." Kocho ordered. The other Hashira nodded, rushing off to other parts of the mansion, leaving the Insect Hashira to care for the poor souls left unconscious.

An hour of searching, all to no prevail. "There's no blood, but there is signs of struggle." Obanai reported, pointing to a window nearby.

"They took him when he was weakened, too." Kocho said grimly. "He just returned from a mission, barely making it out alive and now this!"

Tomioka seemed to be taking it the hardest. If he couldn't protect Sabito or Tanjiro, what kind of Hashira was he?

"We will find Tanjiro." Tomioka said, looking up at his fellow Pillars. Their eyes widened with shock when they saw hatred and determination in his usually peaceful gaze. "No matter what..."

Tanjiro POV

I woke in a strange room, in a pile of large, comfortable pillows and blankets. It was peaceful for a moment before I remembered the events from earlier.
