2ND PERSON:Last night went by in a blur. You got home, ate dinner with your aunt, went up to your room and went to sleep. Right now you are sitting on the edge of your bed, staring at the uniform laid out in front of you.
"UGHH!" You sighed out loud.
You did not want to go to a completely new school today. You had no idea what to expect and you definitely did not have any real social skills. From what you had heard from your aunt the other day, the school you were about to go to was a school five times the size of your old school which was stressful enough for you.
After sitting there for a few minutes, you finally worked up the energy to change into your new uniform.
'Not bad' You thought to yourself as you looked at the uniform on you through the mirror.
"Y/n!! It's time to go hun!" Your aunt yelled from down the stairs.
"Coming!" You yelled back in reply.
Running down the stairs, you quickly grabbed your bag and your lunch, both of which your aunt had prepared for you this morning. You then ran to her car and sat in the front seat immediately turning on the radio while she started the car.
Your aunt left the driveway of the house and drove several blocks. After each turn, you arrived closer and closer and your anxiety grew worse and worse. Even music couldn't calm down your nerves as you arrived at the school you would have to go to for the next several months until your parents decided it was time for you to come back home.
You took a deep breath as your aunt pulled up to the front of the school. 'Maybe this day would actually be good?' You hoped in your head. Since you had no idea where anything was in the school, your aunt walked you into the school to help you to the principles office. The hallways of the school were crowded with kids, but thankfully you don't think any of them noticed you. That must mean you don't stand out, right?
As you turned one last corner, you saw two adults waiting for you through a doorway.
"Hey miss! You must be y/n l/n correct?" An older woman with a smile asked.
"Yeah, that's me..." You shyly responded.
"It's nice to meet you dear, I'm your homeroom teacher, Mrs.Suzuki, and this is the principle, Mr. Sato." She said, referring to the man next to her.
Mr. Sato politely smiled at you and began explaining rules and things of the school which you weren't paying attention to due to the fact that your heart felt like it was going to beat out of your chest and you couldn't hear anything.
"Miss y/n, please follow me to your class so you can meet your new classmates!" Mrs. Suzuki said with a little too much enthusiasm.
Your nerves would not calm down, in fact, they got worse the more corners you turned through the school. Once you arrived at a room with a sign above the door saying 'Class 2B' your teacher stopped.
"Wait here just a second." She said.
You stood there with your bag over your shoulder and your hands grasped each other in a desperate attempt to calm your nerves. Looking up, you saw the teacher motion for you to enter the room. You did what you were told and turned to face the rest of the class once you reached your teacher's side.
"Why don't you introduce yourself dear?" The teacher spoke.
There were so many eyes staring at you and to be honest you didn't know what to say.
"Hey I'm y/n and I moved here from the US.." Was all you could think of. Not a second later, you noticed a familiar silver lilac head towards the back of the classroom.
"Alright, y/n, if that's all you'd like to say, then how about you go to the back of the class room and go sit next to Mitsuya. Mitsuya please raise your hand for y/n to see please." The teacher said.
A hand then raised from that same silver-lilac head in the back. As you walked towards the seat next to him, you received a kind smile that made you feel a lot better about this whole new school thing.
--------- During lunch break ---------
You were sitting at your desk, wanting to eat your lunch in peace, but there was a swam of kids surrounding you, bombarding you with questions.
"Where in the US did you come from?" "How long will you be staying here?" "What was your old town like?"
Question after question was making you feel anxious. They all gave you absolutely no time to answer the questions. You lowered your head, wanting to pretend like none of them existed.
"Oi leave her alone, she clearly doesn't want to talk to you guys." A threatening voice called out to them.
The group of kids turned to the direction of the voice and immediately left your desk, going back to their own to eat their lunches. You looked at the source of the voice. The one there was the silver-lilac headed boy that you had met the other day and now sat next to, Mitsuya.
"Yo," He said with a smile.
"Hey! Thanks you helped me." You replied with a smile.
"No problem, I always found those kinds of kids annoying anyways." He rolled his eyes. "Say, I had no idea you would be in my school, none the less my class."
"Yeah haha, This was kind of a pleasant surprise. I'm sort of glad it was you in here though Mitsuya-kun..." You shyly stated.
Mitsuya laughed. "I'm glad you think that. By the way, you can just call me Mitsuya. I don't really like the sound of 'kun'."
"Got it." You giggled
Mitsuya looked at you and smiled. "Friends?" He asked, holding out a fist.
"Sure, friends." You replied, bumping your fist against his.
