Seviathan rolled a pair of dice around in his hands. These dice were special to his family. They had been handed down from mother/father to child on their twenty-first birthday for generations. Long ago, his ancestors had won the favor of an ancient snake demon. As a reward for their tribute, they had been given a pair of dice that held a small fraction of the demon's powers. Since then, the dice had been a treasured family heirloom for decades. And now Seviathan held them. He frequently used them when making bets and gambling. They never failed him. He wondered when he would be able to pass them on. He and Vaggie hadn't talked about having children. He hadn't even asked her to marry him. Seviathan sighed and tucked the dice into his pocket.
