Hello and welcome!

I wrote "The Haunting of Elsinore Manor" in the autumn of 2020 because I was in the mood for a ghost story. Ghosts come in many forms, especially in literature. Everything from an incorporeal specter of a deceased human being to a memory can be a "ghost."

This story was originally written for Reedsy contest #64: Out on the Moor. This contest celebrates and delves into the themes and style of Gothic literature inspired by Charlotte Brontë's classic novel "Jane Eyre."

The prompt:
"Write a ghost story where there's more going on than first appears."

William Shakespeare's play "Hamlet" was also a huge inspiration for this short story.
