Levi x Reader: Yes Sir

The Fight

You all had finished dusting, sweeping, mopping, and everything in between. You were exhausted. Eren says, "...You know I really wish Levi didn't care so much about cleaning." Jean adds, "Well that wish is never going to come true." He sets his broom up against the wall and sits down on a bench. Armin says, "well hey at least we're done for the day." Everyone nods in agreement. You take off the 'mask' you were wearing to help prevent dust flying into your face and breathing it in. You thought it looked ridiculous, but were soon thankful to have wore it as Connie loudly sneezed and almost fell to the ground. Everyone laughed and he defends himself saying, "heyyy I have bad allergies!" Jean mocks him and only adds to his embarrassment. The mood was light and you felt like you were starting to belong even after not having been there for a whole day. But then Levi entered the room and as everyone saw him they tensed slightly. You weren't sure why they did until you saw Levi meticulously looking for imperfections in your cleaning. You honestly thought it was funny how much he cared about it. You tried to hold in a laugh, but because of the care free mood you were in, it failed. The others looked at you in astonishment wondering if you had a death wish. Your heart sunk realizing this must've been a big mistake on your part. Levi slowly turned his head towards you only a few feet away. "And what exactly is so funny y/l/n?" You cringed on the inside and thought, "Seriously y/n?!" You answered, "Sorry sir nothing is funny sir." You looked at the ground, but even then you could feel his hard gaze on you. He stepped closer and created a breeze that flew and smelled like lavender and sage. Why you noticed this was beyond you. You should be worrying about what Levi is gonna do to you. You thought, "Maybe he's not like that and it won't be a big deal...yeah it's fine." Levi says, "that's right. Nothing is funny. I know it's getting late, but since your new friend here obviously doesn't take cleaning seriously, we're going to train extra today."
Eren says, "We already trained this morning though!" Levi shoots him a cold look. Eren looks uncomfortable and Levi takes that as an apology luckily for him. Levi walks out the door and says loudly, "come on." You look at the others and mouth, "sorry" They look upset and you curse at yourself for not being able to hold in your laughter. That seriously always got you into trouble. But this time it's really embarrassing because you're older than the rest of the squad, (18-19) besides Levi of course. Armin stands beside you as you all follow Levi outside. He says quietly to you, "don't worry about it y/n, Levi would've found another way to make us train more. This really isn't on you. Besides, we actually kind of need the training." You give him a half smile.

You all decide to spar and you and Sasha begin together. You notice she's gotten a lot better at fighting since she was a kid. That being said, she still couldn't beat you.

You never considered yourself a super talented person, but in combat, you were one of the best. The whole squad secretly did in fact know about you before you arrived. They heard about how great you were at killing Titans and protecting yourself and your comrades.

You help Sasha up offering her your hand. She smiles at you and says, "I'm going to beat you next time you just wait." You laugh and respond, "We'll see about that." You all switch partners and now you and Armin are together. You begin and he takes a swing at you which you dodge and then counter with a hook which makes contact, but again this is sparing so it's not with full force. Armin's mouth contorts into a frustrated grimace. You go on for awhile mostly just dodging his attacks and countering. He got a few hits on you, but this time he falls back trying to dodge your punch. He stumbles back and you say, "Armin wait a sec'. Okay so when you dodge don't go backwards like that unless you have to. If you move side to side it's easier to counter and also avoiding falling back is good because your opponent can knock you down easier that way." You both are out of breath and so he takes a second to calm down. "Yeah that makes sense. Thanks y/n" he responds and you say, "anytime and also Armin, you're doing really well okay." You teach him a few tricks on how to get an upper hand in a fight and you tell him to go spar with Eren because Armin has a hard time beating him. As you are sparing with Jean you look over to see Armin on top of Eren after using one of your techniques. "Yeah! Armin!" You shout smiling. Jean looks at you impressed, but he keeps that to himself. Levi says looking at you, "y/n you seem to be so gifted at this that you haven't taken the time to improve yourself, but rather teach everyone else." You answer, "Sir in my defense teaching is actually one of the best ways to learn. At least in my experience."

"Well let me be the judge of that. Over here. Spar with me."

Connie, formerly sparing with Levi widens his eyes at you. He whispers a, "good luck" and walks away obviously relieved with not having to fight Levi. You leave Jean and make your way to Levi. He stares at you the whole time you walk over to him. His gaze is so strong and it makes it hard to approach him. You say, "Alright Captain, let's do this." You position yourself into your usual stance and he quickly throws a punch at you and you easily dodge it thinking, "huh he's kinda slow", but then you feel a hit to your back which knocks the breath out of you. You gasp for air and lock eyes with him. You say, "I thought we were sparing sir." He says, "this is how I spar y/l/n." You decide if he's going to be this intense that you'd be as well. You throw a punch at him which he blocks and counters hitting you in the stomach. The others watch even though they should be training as well. But, the scene before them is too much to ignore. Eren says to Mikasa, "don't you think he's going a bit far?" Mikasa responds, "He knows she is talented in combat so he's going to test her. It's what he does." Eren just stares at the two fighting. You finally manage to get a hit and it knocks Levi back a bit. He smirks which makes you want to hit him even more. He does the same punch and kick he did before which leaves you coughing this time. You have had enough and lunge towards him grabbing his torso and sending him flying on the ground. You quickly pin him down and count, "1...2" and then he turns you over sending a punch to your head. You stumble putting your hands on the ground as your vision blurs and then becomes black. You can barely breathe. Then it's all dark and you hear muffled voices with a dull ringing sound.
