TXT's DAEWON'S DAD BRIBED HIM WITH ICE CREAM TO AUDITION
TXT's Daewon wouldn't have auditioned for Big Hit if it wasn't for his dad.
During a recent vlive broadcast Daewon shared that he almsot didn't audition for Big Hit. While doing a solo live Daewon shared how grateful he was for the people who have supported him on his journey to becoming an idol. He shared with fans how he was especially thankful towards his dad who convinced him to audition for Big Hit.
"I already did three previous auditions and got rejected. Being young I was timid and didn't handle rejection well so I was scared to audition for a fourth time"
Daewon went on, "Becoming an idol was a sudden thought I had because I thought that I would look cool perfoming so being rejected i felt like it wasn't my calling but my parents encouraged me to audition again. My dad took me to a Big Hit audition and suddenly I got really nervous"
The idol laughed before fixing his bangs and continuing "I refused to go inside but then my dad bribed me with ice cream. He said if I went in there and tried my best he'd get me ice cream so I went inside and gave it my all...they asked me to come back the next day and I can still remember how shocked I was but also proud. I decided from then on that I'd give it my best and try hard to debut because I'd been given a chance. I'm grateful for my dad to have convinced me and im happy I got to eat ice cream that day as a celebration instead of a bribe"
Fans were really touched by the story but also thankful for Daewon's dad and the chocolate ice cream bar Daewon was bribed with.
