I woke up and opened my eyes slowly, didn't I fall asleep on the dining table right after Dolores left?

Eh she must've moved me

"Casita, what time is it.."

I say with a hoarse voice, I look at the moving clock coming towards me and stopping infront of my face showing-

"9:34!"

I shout and get up quickly, putting on my clothes quickly and putting on my shoes with casitas help
I race out my room and rushed over to mirabels room, peeking inside

I always wake her up first but missed it by a couple of minutes

She yawned and looked at me

"good morning señora mayor"

I giggled at the nickname

"I'm only older by a few years"

She rolled her eyes and put on her glasses, she ran out of her room sliding down the stairs and saying hello to abuelo
And walking by the opening red windows

We were in the dining room, where I was last night, the plates rolled across the table mirabel catching most of them and me catching one that slid all the way to the end

We started putting them down when kids started yelling at us

"HEY, WHERES HIS GIFT AT!"

"My cousins ceremony is tonight"

Mirabel said as we continued setting the table

"WHATS HIS GIFT?"
"We're gonna find out!"

I said giggling as I was done and waiting for mirabel

I giggled as mirabel toyed around with the kids

"Well 'US' I can't just talk about myself I'm only PART of the amazing madrigals!"

"WHO ARE THE AMAZING MADRIGALS??"

"Your never gonna leave us alone, are you?"

I said looking at them playfully and gave a look to mirabel to carry it on

"Casita help me out here! Drawers!"

She said motioning to the drawers moving on their own, with help of casita of course

She ran out to sing

I was left there giggling to myself, those kids are something else

I was about to walk out until I noticed something
How did I not notice that before? I saw a little slit below the family tree

I closed my eye and peeked through with my other eye, I saw a hazel brown eye staring back at me
