Engagement!?

Annika was sitting in her room alone lost deep in thoughts. Her life was a mess at the moment and she just wanted to talk to Shivaay. They needed to clear things out. Now that he found that she's pregnant, things would get a little complicated and she didn't want that. She decided to go and see Shivaay but was stopped by her grandma who came inside her room with a bunch of makeup artists, dress designers and hairdressers.

Annika:Grandma what's going on?

Grandma: It's your engagement in a few hours. You need to get ready.

Annika:I understand grandma, but I need to speak to Shivaay.

Grandma:Oh don't worry about him. He's getting ready for his engagement with Tia.

Annika: But isn't Tia on vacation with her family?

Grandma:I called them back for the engagement. They'll arrive an hour before the ceremony. Tia will already be dressed when she gets here and they're not that far anyway.

Annika: So it'll be a double engagement?

Grandma:Yes. Now get ready soon. You have two hours.

Her grandma left her with the artists to get ready. Annika sighed and unwillingly got ready.

Later that night the engagement was about to happen. Tia was all ready in her dress and looking forward to being Shivaay's wife while Annika was still in her room thinking of how to speak to Shivaay.

Later the two couples were sitting in different chairs next to each other. Tia and Annika had to put rings in their respective partners' fingers. Tia was quick to put a ring on Shivaay's finger. Shivaay then put a ring on Tia's finger without thinking and Shitia's engagement was completed, Annika on the other hand was slow and hesitant. As soon as the ring touched Veer's finger she let it go and it fell on the floor.

"I'm sorry" she said. "I... I... I can't do this. I'm not gonna do this. I don't wanna marry Veer and he knows that. I'm sorry"and with that she left the engagement and ran to her room shutting the door behind her, leaving her brothers to worriedly bang on the door trying to get to her.

Shivaay was happy that Annika didn't get engaged to Veer. This meant she was still his. Then he realized what he had done. He got engaged to Tia and it might have made Annika think that he wants to get married to Tia.

Later that night he made his way to Annika's room. He tried opening the door but it was locked. Just as he was knocking, Arnav came to him.

Arnav: Shivaay, maybe you should give her some space.

Shivaay:I can't do that. She's been in there for hours.

Arnav:I know but I know what she needs. She's my sister after all.

Shivaay:But she's my wife and the mother of my unborn child!

Arnav:What!?
