the streets of [town] were surprisingly quiet in this very evening, there were rarely any cars driving by and same for the people too 'it seems the announcement worked well'
the chocolate-haired female hummed in relief as she sipped her cup of cocoa "you did well on that case [n/n]" she said as placed her cup, a male with [color] hair who sat across from her hummed in response "but it won't be enough, the threats are not to take lightly" the female chuckled "say it for yourself" the male aggressively sipped his cocoa in a way to signal the female that he was annoyed

[y/n] rolled his eyes, but what Violet said was true, [y/n] may seem like a guy who takes everything seriously but in reality, he doesn't care at all, all those cases and trials he had been in he had just taken them lightly and treat them as some sort of game (coping mechanism anyone?)
"what were those threats about anyway?" she asked, [y/n] sighed, "they said that they'd take something precious from me ha! as if they'd know" he snickered as Violet shook her head, "anything you'd like to say to the crew before you retire" [y/n] thought for a moment then shrugged "neh, I got nothin" the brunette sighed comically at her friend's response, it was a normal reaction of [y/n] but it can get concerning at times
"and what about you Vi? you normally don't wear scarfs and sunglasses" the said female flinched, one of [y/n] skills was quick eyes and deep observation, and Violet always forgets about that, but there is still a chance "what? pfft no, I always wear these don't you remember?" [y/n] narrowed his eyes making Violet freeze in her place, the atmosphere felt tight as his grey eyes stared menacingly at her figure
'a jeez' a stream of comical tears leaked out of her eyes as Violet whimpered in guilt, [y/n] blinked as the atmosphere went back to normal, Violet sighed in relief and laughed awkwardly "y'know you can talk about your problems with me right?" Violet sighed " I know but-..." [y/n] sighed and nodded afterward in understanding "I won't force it off you Vi, just worried 'bout you" the brunette chuckled "I know, I just don't want you to overwork yourself for the problems I caused...again" "well, I don't want to lose you too...again" both paused
a moment later Violet laughed making [y/n] chuckle, over the past years of [y/n] working as a Detective, people often mistake the two to be lovers, making Violet a hostage for the criminals, but both only had platonic feelings for each other
