See You at Freedom Park

Chapter 3

"Meeting adjourned! Thank you so much, guys, and welcome ulit sa mga bago!" I immediately got out of the club room when the president ended the meeting. It was a mini-party to welcome new members and a meeting at the same time dahil nag-plotting at planning kami ng tasks since malapit-lapit na ang bagong season for UAAP.

Ni hindi na ako nakapagpaalam kay Vincent dahil nagmamadali ako. Throy's IG story made me panic the whole day. It doesn't make sense though. Sabi niya lang na he'll see me at Freedom Park pero he didn't say kung kailang araw at oras. I guess kaya rin ako nagmamadali kasi I'm curious if naroon ba siya. It's almost 7:00 PM. I doubt na if nagpunta nga siya, nandoon pa rin siya.

I walked to FEU's Freedom Park and was amazed by the atmosphere. Kakatapos lang ng finals in a December. It felt so light and amazing. Ang ganda ng Christmas lights at tree. Tapos sobrang dami pang stars sa langit. I stared at it. It felt so magical! Ramdam na ramdam ko 'yung Christmas. I smiled. Christmas is always so nostalgic kahit na yearly naman itong nagaganap. Siguro in my case kaya nostalgic iyon, dahil hindi ko na nararamdaman 'yung same excitement at happiness tuwing Christmas season na.

I was just wandering around the park when someone tapped me softly. Lumingon ako and saw a long-stemmed rose na I think ginamit para kalabitin ako. My eyes slowly went to the hands holding it, nakasuot siya ng familiar na relo. His scent was also musky familiar. My eyes went to his shoulders and neck until it went to his eyes.

"Tulala so much? Ako lang 'to!" Throy said and laughed. Napailing ako. I raised my left eyebrow at him. Kumag na 'to!

"What the hell? Sineryoso mo talaga? Boang." I said and rolled my eyes. "Oh, nakita mo na ako. Are you happy? Can I go home now?" I crossed my arms.

"Ay, siyempre hindi! Baka nakakalimutan mo, may utang ka sa'king date!" 

"Anong date? I don't think I agreed to your offer," I said.

"Unfair! Pero puwede bang kumain muna tayo? Grabe, ilang oras din akong naghintay 'no! Nagutom ako e, hehe." Sabi niya. I was stunned when he suddenly held my hand and pulled me while he walked towards the gate. The guard smiled at Throy as he smiled to him as well.

"Ano, boss? Success?" Tanong nung guard.

"Oo, lods! Hinawakan pa nga kamay ko, ayaw na akong pakawalan!" He said and smirked. Hinampas ko naman siya sa braso niya, aggressively dropped his hand, and crossed my arms while we walked.

Ano 'yun? Pati 'yung guard kasangga niya sa kalandian niya? Kaya siguro nakapasok siya kahit wala naman siyang ID or appointment sa loob. I rolled my eyes. Ang kapal talaga forever.

"Grabe naman 'yon! Na-Jake Gyllenhaan ako doon ah," I raised my eyebrows. Jake Gyllenhaan? I chuckled. Throy Dee is a fucking Swiftie.

"Tangina, fan ka ni Taylor?" I said in a teasing manner.

"Oo, 'no!" He said and held my hand again noon patawid na kami papuntang UE. "You were tossing me the car keys, 'fuck the patriarchy' keychain on the ground!" He sang loudly. I bowed my head out of embarrassment and dropped his hand again. Pinagtinginan siya ng mga kasama naming tumawid at nagtawanan.
