this is about my fear of growing up
there was a time when you wanted to
grow up but you know nothing about
growing up because no one ever
told you how hard and not cool it is
you don't know I lost people and myself
you don't know I despise school
you thought school was fun and had friends
I only have three people keeping me going
adults told you you're mature for your age
but that's cause the internet raised you
your dad never did yet you stay in denial
you think it will get more and more fun
but I want you to know that's the most
fun you will ever have, to be so young
and so innocent, yet to be ruined, yet
to learn unexpected truths about this world
I don't want to tell you it will get worse
but it never gets better or more fun, love
I envy you and you envy me.
