Narrators POV

Tenko looks up the gloomy empty dark shaft. He thinks of many options that he could do, but one inevitable thought comes through his mind.

Tenko: I'm going to have to climb this...

He puts on some gloves and he finally prepares. Grasping onto the side of the shaft he lifts himself quite easily as despite him looking scrawny he's got quite the strong body. Lifting each of his arms and legs looking for places he could grasp onto. He holds on tightly climbing up higher and higher. He eventually makes it to door to the 48th door. He tries to open up the door and with his strength he almost does so. What I mean by almost is that when he made a crack into opening the door he was suddenly shocked by some sort of electricity. He lets go immediately and falls back forward. He starts to fall down into the shaft. He panics but calms down quickly and grabs onto a metal wire that held the elevator up. His hand starts to grind towards the metal scraping off part of his glove and skin. Blood starts to flow out and stain his skin.

Tenko: shit... I almost fucking died...! I guess that door won't work... better try the one above it...

He jumps back onto the side of the shaft and climbs back. He goes back up past floor 48 and up to floor 49. He grabs onto two rails on the side of the 49th door. He lifts his whole body up with his hands and he starts to bash the door with his legs kicking it non stop. He gets shocked a bit but he keeps holding onto the rails so he doesn't fall back down. As he dents the door an alarm blares off and the lights inside the shaft glows red. Suddenly he hears a noise of some kind of gas hosing into the shaft and he looks down to witness that a green gas was starting to fill the shaft.

Tenko: dammit! Screw it!

He uses his mouth and bites onto a piece of his glove and rips it off. He places all five finger on the door and it disintegrates. He rushes through the new opened entrance. He looks around the floor and sees that there's an entrance to some stairs. He makes a rush for it and breaks open the door and runs up the stairs. After a couple flight of stairs he sees the same gas pouring into the stairwell from up above. He sprints up to see a door and makes his way towards it barely making it inside the door ending up at the 50th floor. He huffs as he's out of breath. He looks around doesn't see anything particular in the hall he's in. The only thing he sees is some light around the corner.

He slowly walks down the hall towards the light. He pokes his head around the corner to see something very unexpected. He sees a blond girl working on trying to open up a door as a little plushie sits by her. He sees her try to turn her head and the plushie suddenly snaps and growls at her making her scream a bit.

Tenko: now this by the looks of it, this is a hostage situation, but with a... plushie...?

He turns the corner and goes to confront the plushie by yelling out at it

Tenko: hey, big eyes! Look over here!

The plushie turns around, it snarls and sprints at Tenko with incredible speed. It opens up its jaws and jumps at Tenko attempting to rip off his arm. Luckily with his fast reflexes, he dodges and immediately disintegrates the plushie with a touch.

Tenko: that was weird...

He turns to the blond girl and asks her something

Tenko: you okay? That plushie was hella weird...

She jumps ups and replies back

Melissa: y-yeah... that t-thing was scary...

Tenko: okay, but what the hell are you doing here?

Melissa: o-oh... umm...

She goes on to explain how her father was a engineer of this place and she was given permission to use his lab. Than explaining how she was in the lab during the night until she was kidnapped by a robotic like bunny man and forced to open up the door or unless that plushie would maul her face off.

Tenko: well... that sucks for you...

Melissa: hey! Have more empathy for me!

Tenko: yeah yeah... but the main question here is what's behind the door?

Melissa: I don't know the specifics, but it has most of my father's projects and their files on them

Tenko: so that's what they're after...

He puts his hand up to his lip and gets an idea

Tenko: you know the layout of this tower pretty well right?

Melissa: I guess so but what do you have in mind?

Tenko: I need a way to get to the security floor but the damn stairwell is filled with some kind of gas which I'm assuming isn't too friendly...

Melissa: yeah you're going to have to get some gas masks to get through that but the stairwells don't directly lead to the security floor, we could use the elevators-

Tenko: elevators don't work...

Melissa: oh than we could go up to the 80th floor and take an emergency elevator that does lead to the security room but we'll have to use the stairs...

Tenko: can't you just make some gas masks for us to get through?

Melissa: I could, but this floor is used to store stuff and there isn't a place for me to create some...

Tenko: what about through that door, your dad should of surely created some stuff we could use to create some?

Melissa: yes but it's going to take me hours-

Tenko touches the door and it disintegrates turning into dust

Melissa: that also works...

Tenko: well let's get working!

They both go in and that's the end of the chapter!
