Madara is not a very patient man. Like a volcano, he'll erupt in no time and unexpectedly. It's due to his fire and the Uchiha blood coursing through his very veins. Bad-tempered like his father but his other brothers didn't develop this trait. It's such a rare trait that only a few selected members in the Uchiha has it.
Well, that does kind of explain why Madara sliced a damn mountain into half just because his cat, Izu ran away.
