NEW'S POV

I don't know what to do. I know I should be doing something but I don't know what to do.

So, I just stay quiet as I hold Tay in my chest tightly but I feel my body tremble out of fear.

I don't even know if he's really okay now or he's just pretending and it's making me really worried.

Was it me? Did I hit him in the head that hard? Did the flour enter his brain or something?! I know it sounds stupid but my mind is going crazy here and I can't think straight! And I can't do anything except stay still and keep quiet because Tay wants me to! What if something happens to him and all I did was sit here and do nothing?! I really want to bring him to the hospital to see what's wrong with him but he's not letting me and now, I've run out of options.

I look down at him as he curls up like a baby in my arms.

What's happening with you Tay? You're making me really "worried."

"Huh?" Tay asks.

Panic surges inside me, "What is it, Te? Tell me."

"You said something."

"Oh, did I?" What did I say? Oh, well, at least he's okay now which has calmed me down a bit, "Nevermind that. Are you really fine now?"

"I am," I feel him move and see him touch the apron, "But my clothes aren't. And the ingredients are all on the floor now, too. How are we going to bake now?"

I chuckle involuntarily as I try to suppress my anger. Here I am worried about him and all he worries about are the ingredients on the floor?!

"Don't mind that. I'll clean it all up. Go clean yourself up in the bathroom and rest on my bed," I say in a calm voice.

Tay pushes himself up and looks at me, "I promised to help you clean."

"I know. But you shouldn't strain yourself."

"I'm fine, New."

"You're clearly not, Te."

"Yes, I—"

"No, you're not! You're not fine and you won't tell me what's wrong with you! Now, if you won't let me help you, will you please just listen to me and just rest?!" I snap at him as my anger and worry burn inside me. I really feel helpless because I can't help him and yet he keeps taking me for a fool, saying he's fine when he's obviously not!

I breathe heavily as I stand up and dust the flour off my body, "Go clean yourself up, Tay Tawan. I'm not going to let you drive anytime soon so go sleep in my room. I'm not gonna ask you twice," I tell him without sparing him a glance and walk away. I go to my room to take out the vacuum cleaner but when I get back to the living room, I see Tay still seated on the floor.

"Te, I told you to go clean up!"

He looks at me with a pout and puppy eyes as he extends his two hands, "Help me up?"

I'm at a loss for words as I look at him. Is he acting like a kid now?

"Please? I'm so weak," he says with a little voice.

I burrow my eyebrows as I shake my head. I really can't with this guy! He's just claiming he's fine a while ago and now he's acting like a kid?

I set aside my vacuum and walk towards him. I take both of his hands and pull him up but then he suddenly drops his body on me, shocking the life out of me.

"Te! Te, are you okay?!" I try to push him away to check on him but he presses his body more to me with his head lying on my right shoulder. I then feel two arms wrap around my back.
