Making Minds

I pursed my lips as I watched her laugh but return to her shyness, she blushed when he kissed her cheek, guiding his hand down her arm. I could tell she didn't want to be around him, or even be here at all. Her friend just have dragged her here, cause she looked very uncomfortable, and it was making me madder and madder every second he stood near her, making her smile .

"Baby, you okay?" My wife asked as she placed her hand on my shoulder.

I broke my stare away from the beautiful teenage girl, focusing it on my wife for over six years.

"Yes, I'm fine." I muttered

"Okay, um well I'm getting really tired. can we head home? Or if you want to stay you can, I'll tell Katy to take me back home." she smiled

I nodded, "yeah, tell her. I'm staying a bit longer." I turned to focus my attention on the shy beauty once again, ignoring whatever my wife said.

I watched as she hugged her body, looking around shyly, a small pout on her lips, seeming as if she was going to cry. She looked very terrified, with all the drunk people clustering around her trying to get beers. She stopped her gaze when she met my eyes.

My stomach dropped for some reason.

She sent me a small smile, but frowned quickly after looking away once a drunk girl stumbled on her.

I smiled a little, taking a sip of my beer before putting it down.

She looked at me again, as I did with her.

I fell lost into her eyes once again.

Forgetting I had a wife.
