i sigh with your arms wrapped around me. you soothe my heart, ease my pain. i'm calm, composed.

you danced across the stage of my mind; sung, shouted. then you took a bow and i thought i saw your eyes glitter. but maybe it was just a stupid little dream.

i leave you there after the curtain call. my jaw aches from the words i never said, and the thoughts you never had will now be my comedown.

golden hair, rosy cheeks, never sleeps.
