Heart's Desire

The heart wants what it wants, with no logic in mind;
And my heart's desire is for my hand to by in thine

Lips loose translation; what I speak is so much more
Thou art my goddess; to find thee is why I was born;

Only a love such as ours could have been born, and grown as tall pine
Did Aphrodite strike us both for our love to become so sublime?

Our first encounter I forgot to speak, that smile warmed my blackened heart!

What once was frost is now aflame, and that great love burns deep
It keeps me warm, in my darkest times, where my passion draws the heat.
