Chapter 8: Shar Sham Split

Shay Rubio, (who I will refer to as Shar) is the grossest Shay in the whole frickin castle. She is a Shay Rubio! She should know how to get out of here! Sadly, she is too busy getting high to notice that we are stuck. Shar put a hand on my shoulder and tried to climb on my back.
"I don't talk to alcoholics," I scream. Shar gets off and runs into her bedroom locking the Shaws out of their room. (Shaws are Shays with W as the first letter of their last name.) Shar is crazy. But she has the power to get out of here so why not call her a genius? I don't feel bad at all that we make fun of her though. It's her fault she's drunk and thinks everyone is an asshole. I'm gonna ignore her for a while. I decide to make some breakfast. Shay Mitchell is there, or Mitch as I call her. She's eating Greek yogurt.
"Hey," I say.
"Hu!" Mitch tries to say hello but it comes out muffled from the yogurt. We both crack up. I can't believe I'm friends with a celebrity!!!!! Mitch and I chat for a while but I finish breakfast pretty quick. We both want to hang out more so we twin our outfits and do what all the Shays do: model. The shoot is pretty short today which leaves me a bunch of leisure time. Mitch and I head to the movie theater in our castle and turn on "The Fault in Our Stars". We both haven't seen it so seeing a good movie will be a thumbs up. Sadly, the girl who plays Hazel is probably here in whatever house her name is. Mitch notices my troubled expression and attempts to make me feel better. But the truth is, nothing can.

I hang out with Mitch and some of the Shals before going to get the mail. There's a letter from Dr. Rubio. We all gather around to read it. Even Shar.
"Dear concerned people,
The houses will be switching. We have had complaints about family so now everybody with the same last name must be housed together. The moving process will begin tomorrow.

Dr. Shay Ellen Rubio"

For a second, I'm overjoyed. All I can think about is seeing mom and dad. But then I realize the bad thing. I won't see the Shays anymore. No more Shar. No more access to a way out.
