Y/N went up to her hotel room's bed, climbing on and resting, her back against the sheets. She stared at the ceiling, the boring popcorn ceiling. There wasn't much to look at in her room, it was plain. There was a bed, bathroom, a table with a coffee machine and microwave.

Y/N's mind was trying to grip on something to think about or remember. She didn't want to recall what happened with her and Kirishima in the elevator earlier that day, maybe an old memory would be better. She remembers something from her middle school, the little words that 'described' her. She knows they weren't trying to be mean, hopefully...

Hisaka Middle School
She walked inside her classroom, taking the seat she had for the longest time. Most classrooms looked the same, no different seats or desks. Each were in the same position which made it easy for Y/N to find her seat. She sat down, placing her school notebook on the desk, opening and beginning to write some reminders she would need. Two new classmates walked up to her, well they weren't new but last year, they acted different and this year, they're acting more different. Not that different was bad, but they have personality switches, one year they'll be nice and the next not. That's what happened in Y/N's second year at Hisaka.

"Hey Y/N" one of them sneered

Y/N looked up at them, giving them a silent hello.

The two of them looked at each other, scoffing as the other one slammed their hand down on her notebook. Y/N looked up at them, a dead and unimpressed expression on her face.

"Don't you wanna say something about it, hm?"

Y/N stayed quiet, try to pull her notebook from the other kid's pressing hold.

"C'mon Y/N, speak up for yourself" said the kid with their hand on the notebook, tilting their head.

Y/N didn't budge, she continued to try and remove their hand. Both of them beginning to chuckle.

"You probably can't do much, being quirkless and all"

"I don't need a quirk" she spoke in a strong tone, eyes looking up at them.

"No need to sound so serious, we're only stating facts." said one of them, walking away with the other following behind.

Y/N closed her notebook, leaning back into her seat. She replayed what had happened, deciding to brush it off and continue the day as normal.

The entire school day was of the two kids and others just making small comments about her. She tried to block them out, but once something like that gets inside her head. It's almost impossible to get it out. Those words, serious, uptight, quiet, quirkless, mute, had all stuck with her. From the rest of middle school to where she is now, laying in a hotel room bed and staring at the popcorn ceiling above.

Y/N moved to lay on her side, her eyes shifting around the wall. She stared for a while before getting up and walking towards the bathroom. The H/C haired girl walked inside, placing her hands on the sink counter. She looked at her reflection in the mirror, she didn't see anything but herself. What was she looking for? She only saw her S/C skin, H/L H/C hair, E/C eyes, and her lips in a straight line. Y/N tried smiling, her lips only lifting up a little bit. She lifted the corners of her mouth with her index fingers. She let out a tired sigh, dropping her hands and leaving the bathroom. She laid back on the bed, if Kirishima was there, he would have encouraged her to try, but he wasn't. He was in his own hotel room, working out or sleeping.

'I wonder what he did today during his patrol with Fatgum and Amajiki...does he think about me? -' Y/N thought, lifting herself to sit on the bed. Her eyes widened and she felt a small ting of pink rise on her cheeks. Once again, she was thinking about Kirishima. That boy stuck in her head like glue, but why? He had no reason to be racking her brain with these fantasy scenarios that wouldn't happen.
