Coming home

Chapter 1

Season 4b AU

Just to clear some things up: Robin lives in NYC with Marian (who is actually Zelena but they don't know it yet) and Roland for six weeks now. 'Marian' works at a hospital while Robin takes care of Roland.

It was a usual Monday evening, Marian was at the hospital so Robin read his son a story. 'They got married and lived happily ever after.'

'Daddy, when are you and Gina getting married?' Roland asked his father and looked at him with his big innocent brown eyes. Robin was little taken back by his question because he knew that Roland couldn't really bond with his mother, that was the main reason Marian got a job so Robin could be with Roland. But the thought never really crossed his mind that Roland saw Regina as his mother. Although it wasn't weird at all since she was the only motherfigure he ever had.

Robins heart fluttered a little when he thought about the beautiful moments he had with Roland, Regina and Henry. Robin wanted nothing more then to make more of these memories, but that could never be.

Of course he still loved Marian, but not the way he used to. He knew that his heart had moved on to another person; Regina. He thought about her all day and even dreamed about her. His mind was literally Regina, Regina and again Regina. Every night, Robin would wait until he was sure Marian was asleep, so he could sneak out the house and walk to the nearest appletree because it reminded him of her. It was the only place where he would let his emotions go. He was sure that this was even worse than when Marian had died.

'Daddy'? Roland asked and Robin got lost out of his thoughts. 'Yes Roland, what is it?'

'I was asking when Gina and you are getting married.'

'But I am already married to your mama Roland.' Robin would like nothing more then to marry his soulmate but that would never happen. He crossed the town line and there was no possibility to ever return, so he just had to try to move on with Marian. But I don't like mama Roland replied.

'Why not son?'

'I can't tell you' Roland answered with tears pouring in his eyes. Robin got really confused. Roland didn't like Marian but he couldn't tell why. 'Roland I promise I won't get mad at you, could you just please explain this to me?'

'Mama says I'm not supposed to tell you'. What? Robin thought, Marian was hiding something from him, that was nothing for her to do. 'I think it would be best if you do my boy'.

'You promsise nothing bad will happen?'

'Yes'

'Mama hits me sometimes'.

'SHE DOES WHAT?!' Robin raised his voice, he was boiling of anger. Nobody would ever harm his son. He calmed down a bit when he saw that Roland had started to cry. He put him ons his lap and started rocking him 'Shshh, I'm sorry my boy, I didn't mean to yell at you'.

When Roland finally calmed down and fell asleep, Robin waited for Marian to come home because they had quite a thing to discuss. When his wife arrived he immediately confronted her with it. 'You hit our son?! Are you out of your mind, what parent would do that to their own child!' Robin was furious, but he had to keep his voice down because he didn't want to wake Roland.

'That idiot told you?! I literally told him not to but he didn't listen, obviously.'

'Don't blame him for telling he gets hurt, certainly if it by his mom'

'Well you see, that's the funny thing, what if I tell you I am not his mom.' She replied wickedly.

'Then who the hell are you?' Robin got a really bad feeling in his gut that he knew who it was.

'Marian' took her necklace and transformed into Zelena. Robin was to stunned to speak at that moment. 'Hello my dear husband'.

'You stay away from my son'. He was already rushing to get his son and leave the apartment as soon as possible.

'I wouldn't do that if I were you'

'And why not? You don't get to tell me what if I have to do and what I don't.' He spat out these words with as much venom as he could.

'I think you're wrong with that, you see what if I tell you Regina is involved' Robin turned around to face her, he was terrified of what she might have done with her or was planning on to do, so he said braver then he actaully was: 'I swear to god if you hurt her!'

'Oh don't worry my dear'- But Robin interrupted her 'Don't call me that'!

'Oh you are going to do exactly as I say if you don't want your precious soulmate or son getting harmed' Robin saw no other way then to actually do as she wants beacuse he can not take the risk to get any of them in trouble. He wanted nothing more then to take Roland in his arms, go back to Storybrooke, reunite with Regina and never have to leave her side ever again. But this was the harsh reality, he was here now, in New York and he has to do everything Zelena wants.

A/N: Sorry for that cliffhanger tho, I think I will turn this into a multi-chapter shot if y'all like this story. So please just leave a comment if this is good and if I should continue.
