Sorry I haven't updated in a while! My bad!!! I've been writing another story, based on The Owl House. If you want to check that out, go for it!

Tanjiro was finally warming up to me! He was accepting that I'm going to protect him!

Is it technically brainwashing? Yes.

Manipulation? Well, yes.

But none of that matters! All that matters to me is Tanjiro...

"Oh! Otouto-san, we have to meet the twelve Kizuki!" I said suddenly, making Tanjiro blink at me. "Here, I have some clothes for you! They're your exact size, I had them tailored especially!"

He grabbed the clothes and looked into a mirror. He placed them in front of him with a grunt of satisfaction. "Like them, otouto-san?" I asked, blinking warmly. He looked slightly annoyed every time I called him my little brother, but I understand that. "Fine! Like them, brother?" I said, partially complying with his wishes. He made a slight noise of satisfaction and went to go change.

I put my business face on, my eyes dark and demanding. If any of them dare to hurt my brother, I will make sure they die immediately! I thought darkly, looking in the direction Tanjiro had gone.

When he came back in, I plastered on my 'Good Sister' face. "Ready to go, Tanjiro?" I asked, smiling at him. He nodded. He was wearing a clean, white yakuta with his usual checkered haori on top. He wasn't wearing any shoes, because he gets special privileges as my brother. I took his hand and we left the room.

Tanjiro gawked at all the shifting hallways and the changing doors. "With the biwa demon gone," I explained. "I've made it so that it moves whenever I tell it to telepathically." His eyes sparkled a bit at that, making me giggle.

I looked in ahead of Tanjiro, seeing all members of the 12 Kizuki present. As suspected, the Lower-Ranks sat away from the Upper-Ranks, an awkward tingling being noticeable from their connection to me.

"Well, brother, you come in when I signal. Is that okay?" I asked, wanting him to be as comfortable as possible. He nodded, making me sigh with relief. The 12 Kizuki must have noticed my wave of emotion as they silenced almost instantly.

I took in a deep breath and put on my business face. I strode in, my dark eyes scanning over them. Few were unnerved by this, such as Upper-Rank 1 and 2. I strangely noticed an air of... Fascination around Lower-Rank 3 when I walked in. I looked at them, which made them squirm. Only, not in fear, in submissiveness. How odd... They seem to have a small obsession with me. I thought, not sure whether to be disgusted or amused.

"Hello, 12 Kizuki," I spoke loud and firm. "I am Kamado Nezuko, the demon queen. I have killed Kibutsuji and taken his position for my own desires. Some of these ranks have changed, purely because of my own dislike towards them."

I could feel their slight discomfort at those words, making me smirk wickedly.

"I have kept you in belief that you are different. Stronger. Worth something." My gaze darkened significantly, sending shivers down their spines. "Although, I trust you won't be disappointments! Or rather, you better not be!" I gave them a bittersweet smile, mocking a look of trust.

"Now, this is one of my very first tests."

The 12 Kizuki looked at eachother in confusion, then turning back to me.

I looked at my dear brother, Tanjiro, and beckoned him to come out. He walked out nervously, and I saw the Lower-Rankers' eyes widen. "This," I said, giving them a smug look. "Is my brother, Kamado Tanjiro."

The room went into a riot. "Y-You brought a human to the Infinite Palace?!" a tall, disfigured Lower-Rank said. I recognized them as Lower-Rank 5, Haru. I read them like a book, but I saw no hatred there. Only disbelief. I bet Kibutsuji never did this! I thought with a smirk. Probably too much of a wimp for it!

"Yes, I brought a human here, Haru."

At the mention of their name, Haru shivered. "I-I'm sorry, my lord, I was just-"

"Confused?"

Haru stopped begging and squirming, looking up at me in shock. "I do not have the same fears and rules as Kibutsuji. You may call me Nezuko-sama, or if you would really like, Lord Kamado."

"Kibutsuji was a coward," I went on, feeling a mix of reactions to my words. "He was afraid that you'd be conspiring against him, because he knew he couldn't beat all of his slaves. That's all you were to him; expendable. But I have other beliefs. I believe that with proper engagement and appreciation from a better leader, you can conquer the world and remove the Demon Slayer Corps once and for all. They are the only thing standing in your way! They have killed thousands of you, when you have only killed to survive! This is barbaric. We are the superior beings, and we will defeat Ubuyashiki and his daft organization!"

There was silence for a moment, but then they burst out into cheer. Tanjiro pulled on my kimono, and I looked at him. I smiled and rubbed his head, making him close his eyes in contentment.

Be ready, Ubuyashiki. I have the trust of my demons, as you have the trust of your slayers.

We are coming... And we will beat you this time!
