"She didn't do this!!!" Abuela and I heard from the forest after we let go of eachother. Suddenly, Papa popped up on a horse out of the bushes. "I gave her a vision!! It was me! She only wanted to help! I don't care what you think of me, but I will not let you blame my daughter for what I- I-..." Abuela interrupted him with a tight hug.

"Brunito..." Abuela mumbled with a smile.

"I feel like I missed something important."

"Come on guys." I stated, abuela kissed his cheek and held his hand before they followed me onto the horse, Papá on the back.

"What's happening? Where are we going?" He asked. I took a deep breath before my reply.

"Home."

"Whoah!! Come on, get in here!!" I yelled as the tiles carried me into the house. It had repaired itself! The magic returned!!

Everyone was carried in after me, and the celebrations began. Luisa was relaxing, Isa was growing beautiful plants and cacti, Dolores was with Mariano, and abuela was embracing the imperfect. But most of all, mi papá was part of the family Madgrigals again. We weren't excluded, we wern't the black sheep anymore. And I got my dad back.

"Mirabel!" Camilo yelled in the middle of the celebrations. Not loud enough to stop anything, just to get my attention.

"Yeah?" I answered as he caught up to me.

"Tio Bruno wants to talk to you. He's upstairs in the nursery." I nodded and went up to my room.

I hesitated in front of the door, but I wasn't sure why. One of the floor boards nudged my foot.

"I'm going, I'm going." I said with a smile, great full for the casita to be back. I turned the door knob and entered. "Papa?" I questioned.

"Hey, mija.." It was strange hearing him call me that, but nice. It made me smile again.

"What's up?"

"Sorry to take you away from the celebrations kid."

"It's okay- is something wrong?"

"I wanted to say.. sorry."

"For what?"

"It was my vision. It's my fault I wasn't in your life for so long. I'm- I'm sorry."

"Papa, you were just trying to protect me. The vision was too. You're the reason we knew how to save the house. I'm just happy you're here now." He looked down a little and smiled. "Plus you have been there! I just thought you were fake the whole time. Oh and the rats."

"Ha- I told them to make friends with you a couple days after you didn't get a gift and I disappeared. Took a little while to get them to understand though.. they followed Isabella for a while and terrified her on multiple occasions." I laughed. He turned and sat on my bed, I sat beside him. A rat climbed beside me and I pat it's head with my finger. We hadn't really gotten to talk about the happy stuff yet. Besides his 'Telanovelas.'

"I barely remembered you... and yet you talked me through almost all the times I cried. In one way or another.." I pet the rat again.

"I'm just glad they didn't get you to hate me.."

"How could I when I thought you were so much like me. Plus I barely heard about you until like- two days ago. 'We don't talk about Bruno.'"

"Oh I heard that! I don't know where Camillo got that I was seven feet tall and I honestly thought that one lady never left her house after I said her goldfish would die."

"She was very angry about that whole ordeal."

"Heheh... uh- Thanks kid. Thanks for reuniting me with our family."

"Thank you for saving our family."

"Well more of the credit goes to you for that one, mi vida."

"You called me that when I was little... in a song."

"Oof, you remember that? I do not know how that used to get you to sleep. I was not a very good singer."

"Really? I don't remember much."

"Yeah, I knew it worked for the other kids, but Pepa, Julieta, Felix, and Augustine also had young kids, so they were too tired. Pepa and Felix had Dolores and Camillo, Julieta and Augustine had Luisa and Isabella. Plus Abuela was old and never awake when you cried at night. So I had to sing."

"What about.. my mom..?"

"She left after you were born. Dunno where she went, but at first she was great. She was kind to me, and didn't judge me, I was thrilled when she got pregnant, but she wasn't. She dropped you off at the the front door at 4 in the morning. I remember the house waking me up, and when it finally got me downstairs, you were there. Abuela was happy to continue the miracle and stuff." I turned and hugged him tightly, smiling and nearly crying. He really was there for me. When my mom left, he took care of me. When he saw the vision, he left to protect me. When I came back, begging him to help me save the family, he did, even though he thought they hated him, he helped just because I asked.

"I'm glad you're back." After a short second, his arms wrapped around me as well.

"Yo tambien estoy contento, cariña. Te quiero, mi Mirabel."
Translation: "I'm glad too, sweetie. I love you, my Mirabel."

"Yo también te amo, papa."
Translation: "I love you too, dad."
