ACT ONE - chapt 2 - what has happened to you

HAWKINS
May 2nd, 1983

Riley's eyes flew open, she violently
sat up.

As she looked around she noticed where she was was a void of darkness.

A place she'd been before, at the lab.
" Nancy?"

" Steve?"

" anyone!!"

" foolish child."
A familiar voice read

riley quickly turned around to brennar's face.

" no" she mumbled

" do you really think anyone would come to save you?"

Riley took a breath and moved her red hair out her face.

Brennar placed a hand upon her cheek

" dear lord five."
" what has happened to you."

" what do you mean."

" I remeber when you were a scared child with no sin's or love."

" what the hell does that mean."

" it means you've changed. You met a boy."

" no I haven't."

" what did we say about lying five?"

" fuck you!" She yelled

Dr. Brennar viciously grabbed each side of her face
" you will talk to me with respect."

" get out of my face!"
She pushed

he grabbed harder onto her chin with each word

" do as I say five, or I will find you. And kill everyone you love."

" this isn't a god damn horror movie! Your just my imagination." She mumbled

" think what you would like.. but I stand by what I said. This boy, these people! Will be the end of you"

" I said, fuck you."

She let out a giant burst of orange energy throwing Brennar to the floor

luckily it was strong enough to pull her out of the void.

once again, Riley's head flew up with a gasp.

as she looked around she noticed she was still at Nancy's from the sleepover before.

" hey what's wrong? I heard you gasp."
Nancy rubbed her eyes

" oh.. just a, bad dream."

" you okay?"

" yeah but we better go, your finally going to a real school. You should look good."

the two girls shared a smile and began to get ready.

" guess what."
Nancy smiled

Riley turned her head with a blank expression

" I think me and Steve might get back together"

" what." Riley slammed the locker

" yea.. me and Johnathan had a fight and broke up, so I think I'm gonna give stancy another chance."

" did uh, he ask you?"

" no. So I'm gonna ask him!"

Riley let out a breath of relief " oh okay, just let me know how that goes." She stuttered

" okay! Where are you going?"

" Mike asked me to help them look for el, so I'm going over to hoppers cabin." 

" oh, stay careful though!"

" of course. But I have a question"

Nancy nodded

" if el supposedly came back while I was in the upside down, and she had all this time to meet everyone and date Mike. How long was I gone for?"

" I don't know the time you were gone for, but el was here for about a month."

Riley looked up at her and walked passed her to the door

" what is your plan exactly?" Riley asked

" god your such an idiot!" Mike mumbled

" what?"

" oh my- we go to the portal thing, you go in fight what ever it is" lucas explained

" whoa whoa. Why do I have to fight it?"

" cause you have super powers. Once again, idiot."

Riley rolled her eyes and turned her head,
" well if I'm an idiot with super powers I would be able to do this right?"

" do wha-"

Quickly, a hovering space toy flew at mikes head,

" oh my shit! "
Dustin smiled

Riley smirked at the boys and walked up the basement stairs.

" are you sure it's here?" Will said

" yes yes! Me lucas and Dustin ligit watched eleven walk through this wall!" Mike yelled

" okay shut the hell up!" Steve hissed

Riley rubbed her hands and faced them to the wall,

she closes her eyes to ring out the chatter in the background.

the party, Steve and watched as

Riley's hands began to create energy, Tearing a hole into the wall

Her orange powers ripped open the gate to the upside down,

red and an orange gate stood in front of everyone.

" holy shit."
