(Martins POV)
The words rang through my head in a painful buzz of ringing bells. I had no idea what I'd walked in on as I snuck through the back door of the pub at Lester's acceptance to visit the girl, I was only worried after all. But now I was a whole different range of emotions. She wanted to leave. Not just me, but leave all together. In the short time of our relationship, she had become my entire being. My first thought in the morning, my every thought in the day, my last thought at night as she nestled into my chest and embraced my safety. I'd been stupid enough to let myself imagine a future, occasionally having children's names pop into mind, walking ever slower past ring shops. And in the space of one day, that was all thrown away. Worst of all, not even to me. If I hadn't heard her speaking to Josie, I'd still be sat in the studio with a smile on my face knowing the girl I was inlove with quite frankly loved me too. Or so I thought, but clearly she never had. The curb outside the pub was growing colder through my jeans as my head rested in my hands.
"You can come in, you know," I heard Simon call through the front door.
"I can't face her right now. I'm just going to wait here for Louis to pick me up," I sniffed, shaking my head. The tall blonde man looked at me, confusion on his face.
"Did something happen?" He walked out, sitting next to me on the pavement, shutting the pub door behind him for privacy.
"Ha, you could say that," I shrugged, using the inside of my thumb to remove the excess moisture from my tear ducts.
"Talk to me, man," he placed the palm of his hand on my back comfortingly.
"Not a lot to talk about, I guess I just thought she actually cared. I thought she loved me like I love her, I never thought she'd leave me."
Simons eyes widened, his jaw dropping.
"You fucking what?!" He questioned, almost in anger.
"Well, she hasn't technically left me. But I overheard her telling Josie she couldn't be with me," I shrugged.
"No, fuck no. This can't be right, surely you heard incorrect. Lily adores the fucking ground you walk on, she blushes every time anyone mentions you or you even text her. She wears Atleast one item of your clothing daily and believe me I've spotted her more than once sniffing it. She literally told me a few days ago that she wants to be with you forever, how much you complete her and she can't imagine life without you. This can't be right," He shook his head, standing up on the curb in distress. Whilst this all warmed my heart and almost forced me to smile, I simply couldn't. Clearly it was all just a lie.
"Wait there," Simon pounced back into the pub before I could say otherwise, leaving me alone with my thoughts.(Lily's POV)
"Are you out of your fucking mind, Lily-Rose?" A pungent voice of anger threatened from the doorway behind me. I knew it was Simon, and I knew it was serious by the use of my whole name.
"Excuse me?" I squinted, turning my head to face him in confusion.
"Not now, Simon," Josie quietly responded, shaking her head.
"Not now?! Not fucking now?! Do you have any idea what you've done to that poor boy?! I've just been comforting him whilst he's cried, doubting you've ever loved him. And yet you're wasting your breath telling us all how much you adore him. Unbelievable," he shook his hand, almost gritting his teeth. My heart dropped in confusion.
"What? I haven't said anything to him?" I gasped, shocked.
"It's not what you have or haven't said to him, it's what he heard you saying to Josie," Simon huffed, pacing up and down the room in distress. My mind raced, a severe sickening entering my body.
"Simon, you have no idea what the full situation is, and neither does Martin. He cannot comment on what he's over heard until he's made the effort to discuss it with Lily as clearly it's a pure misunderstanding. And as for you, I know you're a 'lads lad' and looking out for your friend, but don't you DARE speak to Lily with that tone. You have NO idea what she is going through and quite frankly have no right to know. All you do know is the neglect and trauma she has experienced recently, which should be enough of an indication not to shout and scream and swear at her, or any woman ever for that matter. Now please, go home for the rest of the day and calm down away from Lily, away from me and away from my customers."(Martins POV)
"I'm sorry," the blonde boy exited the pub, in a slightly more hush tone.
"What are you talking about?" I questioned.
"I went and spoke to lily, well to be honest I was abit blunt and angry with lily and she's still with Josie so she's sent me home now. All I can say is I'm sorry for getting angry at her. I have no idea what's going on to be honest, she's in bits in there. I think you should go and talk to her, she knows you're here," he patted me on the shoulder, leaving me in a pit of confusion as he walked off down the street in a pace of distress. I sighed, wiping my eyes and standing up.
"Please, no more bloody domestics," Lester laughed, slightly anxiously from behind the bar. The poor man - he must have had to witness Lily's initial upset, followed by my upset, followed by Simons upset, and now back to me to try and resolve this. I acknowledged his comment with false yet polite humour, before heading down the corridor and back into the room where I could hear sniffing. My heart dropped, knowing what I had previously heard here, but this time I just heard wimpers of sorry, causing concern. As I entered the room, the beautiful young girl was sat, her hand in her hands being comforted by Josie as she held a box of tissues and a mug of drink. Josie looked up, her hazel eyes of pleading, locking with mine. I noticed her squeeze Lily's shoulder slightly, before looking back to me.
"I think you two need to talk,"
