You may be wondering, what is UDD?
Here's a brief explanation of what UDD is, and what causes UDD.

What is UDD?

UDD stands for Unspecified Dissociative Disorder. It is a mental disorder in which the person affected has multiple distinct personalities. These 'personalities' are called alters.

What causes UDD?

UDD is caused when someone experiences severe, and repeated childhood trauma. The stress of the trauma causes the brain to spilt into what is basically multiple people (alters). Alters form to protect the brain, and spread out the trauma. Every alter has (or can have) a different name, gender identity, age, ethnicity, etc. There are some people who claim to have alters that formed without trauma, this is not possible. If you feel like you may have alters, but have not expressed trauma, you most likely have gone through trauma and just don't remember it.
