When I came of age I got my gift but it wasn't what people expected. My gift is illusions, at first people liked me, I helped them with situations that could play out in different ways, but one day everything changed for the worst.
Mirabel came of age and when she placed her hand on the doorknob the door vanished.
It was from this point in time people turned on me for two reasons:
One: my power was getting strange
And
Two: my pa
My pa was Bruno and his gift was seeing the future, which people also didn't like much either. One day he disappeared and everyone, and I mean everyone turned on me.
I was was seen as 'Bruno's freak daughter.'
