Your fingers carefully glide across the flat buildings and grassy areas, halting at the side where some small text is present. Eyes narrowing slightly, you search for the particular word "Remembrance", referring to one of the primary buildings on Teyvat College, which hosts your first class of the day: English.

Recalling back to the day you opened and saw the familiar black and white colors in the mail, you couldn't control your excitement and anxiety any longer and pulled back the flap, revealing a "Congratulations!" in a script font that's set as large and bold.

To further confirm your acceptance, magic imbedded within triggers the colorful confetti as they shoot up into the air.

Teyvat College is notorious for their welcoming atmosphere of kind professors and staff members and a quality education; these two factors naturally lead to consistent high graduation rates throughout the years.

What truly makes the college so well-known, though, is the students: a mix of ordinary, magicless individuals and those with magic, making it the first ever college (and one of the only few) to have this mix of students.

You grew up without an ounce of magic your whole life, but you're constantly surrounded by it, whether it be watching the news about magic users saving the day or hearing about it.

Your interest in magic and wanting to get a new change of environment led you to select Teyvat College as your final answer. Never in your life would you ever think you would be present and actually walking on the campus, the very campus that you were once only able to view through a laptop monitor.

You're so lost in your thoughts that you don't realize yourself straying a bit to the left, where you accidentally bump into a student who immediately mutters a string of curse words.

Startled, you drop the campus map.

"What the hell? Do you have eyes?" the violet-haired male snaps.

"Sorry, sorry! I was thinking about a lot of things and didn't pay attention to my surroundings." You give the clearly irritated male a smile, hoping to ease the tension.

He rolls his eyes and scoffs, "Maybe save that thinking for when you're not walking in public. You clearly weren't thinking about how to walk properly."

With raised brows, your eyes widen slightly at the blatantly rude comment. Either he had a rough morning and felt the need to take his negative emotions out on a mere stranger, or this is his character.

Before you can reply back, the male next to (who you have now nicknamed) Bad Morning speaks up. "Sorry. Friend... mean. Not good. Bad at talking."

You shift your attention to him. Aside from his unique manner of speaking, his appearance is rather intriguing too.

His long, gray hair is slightly messy, some pieces spread in various directions, and his red eyes are vibrant in color and appears serious. A scar runs along his left cheek. Just like yourself and Bad Morning, he's also wearing the usual black and white uniform.

The only key difference that distinguishes him as a magic user is the medium-sized elemental-shaped object that hangs off the black belt. In his case, he has an electro one.

"Oh! You guys use electro and anemo magic?!" You lean toward him in curiosity and excitement.

It's your first time meeting some magic users and talking to them face to face. Because you grew up in a remote area, so small and isolated that everybody knows each other, you were naturally surrounded by ordinary people like yourself.

"Do you not have a sense of something called personal space?"

Oh. He's talking again.

The whole time while you were observing the gray-haired male, Bad Morning had an intense scowl on his face—so intense that you thought it might've been possible to turn into complete ash under his gaze.

The kinder of the duo parts his mouth open, getting ready to comment, but you laugh and shake your head.

"Listen, you probably had a bad morning, but treating another person in such a nasty way isn't necessary; you clearly lack a sense of respect," you say with the same smile present on your face.

After a minute or two of wordlessly staring at each other (more like glaring from him), he heaves a sigh through his nose. His indigo eyes flicker to the male beside him briefly before looking at you again.

"Whatever. You're wasting my time." He turns his wrist over and clicks his tongue in annoyance. "Damn, class is almost starting, Razor. C'mon."

You watch Bad Morning turn away and leave, not bothering to look back again. Razor continues to stare at you, his serious expression remains unwavering, as he mumbles a "sorry" and crouches down to pick up the campus map, handing it to you.

"Oh, thank you very much." You beam. "I hope your first day goes well!"

"You too." He nods and dashes to a nearby building where his friend is waiting for him with crossed arms.

It's unfortunate you already encountered a rude person on the first day, but at least you met a friendly one too. Razor, was it? Even his name is unique.

Sighing, you continue heading in the direction of your class again. This time, you're taking your time to observe the beautiful campus with its blooming plants and lush trees. Might as well take advantage of the empty campus right now. After all, class won't start until another hour.

Just as long as you don't bump into another person, the rest of the day should go by smoothly without problems.
