Overthinking

You get home and fall onto your bed, thoughts flooding your mind.

You used to be so close. What happened? You fell in love with him and he did too, but this love story was meant to end.

He had changed. There was no mistaking. They had become closer than ever.

You and him never talk anymore, but she does. She constantly talks about him and the fun things they do together. It's not her fault though, she has no idea of the past behind us. Still, I have a gut feeling that she feels threatened by my presence around him.

You feel the string between you and your friends start to break little by little each day that goes by.

Until they just leave you behind. She's so much better than you could ever be. He looks so much happier with her than you.

If only you hadn't introduced them to each other, would you still be close today? If you hadn't even messaged him in the first place, you wouldn't have had your heart broken.
