Alexander's POV

"Wow!" I breath out looking around this cave/tunnel/cliff gap trying to take in every little detail, when I notice the stairs off to the left, looking back at Waverley I smile at how she's opening up to me, I guess I don't have to make a plan to get her to like me anymore. "Come on!" She shouts while running up the stairs, quick to follow her I stop once I look into the room, there was gold coins, jewels, and jewelry overflowing out of chests, seashells, sand dollars, and starfish littering on the ground, and a pile of greenish brown, crispy looking dry seaweed in the back. I look over at her to see her covering her mouth, holding back her giggles, I just glance at her and around the room, then back. "How? When? What?" Shaking my head I try again, "How did you find this place?" Her giggling stops, and her smile falters, she let out a soft sigh and says, "It was my mothers, I just found it yesterday when I went swimming." "Oh, um how do you know it was hers?" She smiles and rolls her eyes, "Well it could be the fact that she left me a letter in here, or that my dad's the only one who's owned this house since I was born and she abandoned us."

Her mother abandoned her! Why? No mother should abandon their child, EVER!!! "What?" I shout outraged, catching her off guard, she looked at me than said, "Yeah I know! What kind of mother leaves their child, and takes their brother that they don't even know about!? And then expects the said child to move back into her hometown and live there until she graduates? She left! And yet she's still controlling our lives!" I look at her in sympathy and answer her rhetorical question, "A mother who is not meant to be a parent, or one that's protecting their child without the child knowing."

She looks up at me and asks, "When did you become so smart?" talking as if she knew me her whole life, so I sass back, "I've always been this smart, you've just been too stupid to realize it." flashing her a cheeky smile. We both burst out laughing, I can't help but wish she'd laugh more, her laugh is beautiful, it's like your favorite song but 100x better. I guess that sounds pretty creepy but it's true, I wish I had a CD or recording or something with her laugh on it, I could listen to it forever. Watching her sit down on the seaweed and open the bag, she tossed my watch at me, I catch it before it hits my face, I exclaiming mocking hurt, "If I didn't know better I'd say that you were purposely trying to hit me!" She smiled, sarcastically answering back, "Oh you know? So I don't have to pretend anymore and just plain out hit you? Awesome!" Looking at her I reply as seriously as possible, "I never said that, and I never will so keep dreaming!" before taking a seat next to her.

Waverley's POV

Laughing I couldn't help but think, how come we were enemy's yesterday but today we're like almost friends? Huh, I guess that shows you how much things can change in a day! Pushing those thoughts to the back of my mind, I grab my black journal out of the bag, when I heard scribbling. Snapping both of our heads towards the journal, I slowly opened it to the first page and saw these three words being scrawled out onto the white paper,

He's a vampire ----------------------------->

With an arrow beside it pointing at Alexander, laughing at his shocked face I say, "So your a leech?" nudging his shoulder playfully, he immediately scowled, hissing out, "I'm NOT a leech!!!" Flinching back at his harsh tone I glare at him icily, growling back, "I was joking, but now I'm not so sure!" causing him to flinch back when he looked at my face, placing the journal down and standing up I grab his arm roughly and dragged him down the stairs, ignoring his constant apologies and pleads, shoving him through the tunnel I follow at a fast pace. Wanting him out as soon as possible after his little outburst, quickly coming across the cave that gave away to the gap underneath the water. Not even bothering to look at him I point at the water grounding out, "Go!" When he didn't move I glared up at his pained, mad, guilty, ashamed, really the list is endless of all the emotion displayed on his face right now, look he was giving me. Not giving in, I shout, "NOW!!!!!" still pointing at the blue surface of the inviting water, still glaring at him I realized that he wasn't leaving anytime soon, by the determined look on his face. Dropping my hand I close my eyes and take a deep breath before turning towards the water, running and diving into it, not caring that he was yelling at me to come back.

I swim out of the cliff as fast as I could without hurting myself, I chose to ignore the voice in the back of my mind whispering, "Don't go into deep.........." and shot out of the gap, hurtling towards the ocean floor, not even bothering to go back up for air, I just swim farther and farther and farther into the glistening blue water watching as fishes swam by me without a care in the world. What felt like only minutes were really hours as I kept swimming ignoring the being watched feeling I had, and not really caring if I was being watched, I stop and glance around to see which direction I wanted to go next, when I saw a darker area. Now intrigued I slowly swam towards it, as my hair started to cast a soft blue hue around me, at first all I saw were lumps all over the ocean floor, before making them out as a ship graveyard, not lumps as I originally thought.

Swimming up to the closest ship towards me I lightly ran the tips of my fingers over the uneven, slick wood, wondering how did this get down here? Did it sink during a storm, did pirates shoot at it until it sunk, did the ship run into something, was the ship not built right? Oh the possibilities are endless, slowly circling half of the ship I decided to explore inside it. Peeking in I didn't see anything harmful so I eased the rest of the way in looking around in awe at what I saw...............

A table was thrown against the farthest wall, with a silver compass sitting on the edge, and a gold old time scale holding emeralds, rubies, and amber. Huh, I wonder who this ship belonged to? I flicked my feet a little propelling me forward almost into the table. Glancing around once more I turn and swim out, finally noticing the sun was going down, casting an eerie look over the graveyard, I need to get home soon or else dad will kill me, if he even noticed my absence.

Taking one last look around the wreckage of ships, I thought excitedly to myself, "This is severely cool!!" before swimming the fastest I could home, hoping I made it there before night fell.
