Quackity is desperate for money -- desperate enough to get a job at the local psychiatric hospital despite his traumatic experiences there. He is constantly sick to the stomach as he sees his past self relived in other patients. That is, until he meets Wilbur. Much like Quackity, Wilbur had been through things that made him question the line between reality and fantasy. However, he was so deep in the spiral towards pure madness that all other nurses refused to care for him. But Quackity saw someone underneath the crooked smile, matted hair, distracted eyes and twitching fingers. He saw a young boy whose childhood went by to quickly and at that very moment, he decided that his new goal was to show Wilbur the world in all its glory again. Through meltdowns and shattered mirrors and craters along the wall, they climbed up that long spiral staircase hand in hand, step by step, until they reached what one would call happiness. After all, two negatives equal a positive.
