Contract Marriage | Kim Taehyung

Part 12

You woke up with a scrutinizing pain beaming through your head. Your eyes fluttered around only to see a completely different room than yours. It was dark, shabby and cold. There was one bed in the room. You brought your hand to your head to massage it only to find it bandaged. You furrowed your eyes only for the reality to hit you a few seconds later. You remembered a truck crashing in your car. But fear started to build in your heart. Where were you? Where was Max? You got up the bed and walked towards the door trying to open it but it was locked. 

All your belongings were nowhere to be found. You looked around the room to find ways to get out of this room. There was a sealed window through which you could see the outside. It was a completely strange place. You were sure you were kidnapped. But now you need to get out of here. But how would you go? 

A while later you heard the door unlock and somebody entered the room. You looked at the person and he came in with a few bodyguards. "You are finally awake y/n." The guy said. The guy has a chiseled face and dragon eyes, along with a sharp nose. He wore a few accessories on his ears, hands and neck. 

"Who are you? And where is Max?" The guy laughed, manically. He walked to you and held his finger under your chin pushing it upward. You could see anger and hatred in his eyes. 

"I killed him." He said with no guilt or remorse. Your eyes widened. He was dead, because of you. No no this guy must be lying. "And as for your first question, I am Chen." He smirked. 

"What do you want from me?" You acted brave but deep down a turmoil was going inside of you thinking what was happening. You wanted to escape from here but there was no way. The window was permanently sealed and the only way to escape was the highly secured door from which Chen came in. 

"Not you but from your husband. Your husband is quite an arrogant person. He is so stubborn to complete the project." Anger was evident in his eyes. He was fuming with anger. It has to be more than just a mere project for Chen to be furious. 

"Why should he step back? Don't you have the ability to beat him? If not then you should lay back and watch him win." Cockiness was clearly heard from your tone. "You bitch." Chen slapped you. He couldn't bear Taehyung's attitude and now you were also behaving in the same way. You fell on the cold ground due to the harsh slap. The stinging pain brought tears to your eyes but you forbid for them to fall. 

"Is this what you are capable of? Torturing the weak to get what you want. You are such a pathetic human. Such a low character." You hissed as you touched your lips which got a cut previously. While the suppressed anger of Chen made its way out of him. 'You are nothing like him. You aren't even fit to stand in front of Taehyung. He is smart and clever while you are dumb and stupid.' The long lost words of his father came back. 

All the memories when his father compared him to Taehyung came to the surface. Because of Chen's father, he always felt inferior to Taehyung. Chen grabbed your hair in a fist and pulled you up. You winced  in pain. "Argh." "Listen, I am far better than Taehyung. And I will show you by humiliating him publicly. The top most prosperous and successful businessman couldn't even protect his wife." He chuckled darkly. "I though to go easy on you but you aren't any less arrogant than him." He pushed you on the floor and walked out of the room. You fell on the floor, bruising your knees.

"How the fuck did this happen?" Taehyung shouted on top of his lungs. After he got the news he drove straight to Kim's secret basement where all their illegal activities took place. And the fact that Taehyung wasn't calming down made the environment more tense. He was breaking everything that he found near his hand. He knew you weren't safe and the person who held you captive could do anything to you angered him even more.
