A/N:
This will be the last heartbreak from Akshara’s catalogue. I have to say this — I love love love Seth McDavey despite what follows in the below story. I hope you feel the same too.

HEARTBREAK #3:
HEARTBREAK TYPE: The kind that makes you want to scream out to the world that life is unfair.
SUITABLE AGE: 16 - 18
THREAT: Universe. God. Whoever is responsible for the mess we call life.
STORY OF ORIGIN: Akshara experienced peak popularity in her Junior year, the climb being easier but messier than she'd estimated. Everyone in her class knew who Akshara was. Her seniors referred to her as the pretty brown Junior girl. The freshmen and the sophomores smiled at her whenever she walked past them. Though she'd gotten what she aimed for, Akshara couldn't name it as a success.
In the journey, she had lost her best friend, her close circle of friends and eventually herself. Akshara only realised her life was spiralling downwards when Seth McDavey bulldozed her life without a warning.
Seth was a senior, a transplant from Boston to be specific. He had easily become the talk of the town with his devilishly handsome looks and an ironical gold heart of an angel.
At first, Akshara didn't like him.
She called him a thief.
Akshara was the kind of person who waltzed into people's lives, distributing spheres of sunshine. And suddenly, she wasn't anymore. Seth stole her spheres and everything that came with it. Effortlessly.
Every time she walked past him, either in the cafeteria or in the art room, she pictured him going bald. It helped calm the urge to say something insulting to his infuriatingly gorgeous face.
When she was scrubbing paint off desks in the art room after school (a favour for Ms Shoba), she heard a loud clearing of a throat.
"Hey," Seth said. He was wearing a black and brown flannel with a lazy backpack hanging off his right shoulder. "Akshara Zim, right?"
"And you?" she asked, even though she knew who he was. Very well.
His head dipped, a light chuckle breaking out on his lips. "Seth. In case, you really didn't know."
"What do you want?"
He took a seat on the closest chair next to her, his legs thrown on either side of it. He had a fine dust of freckles on his neck. "I want to know why you've been murdering me with your pretty eyes every time you look at me."
"Doesn't everyone stare at you?"
"Yeah but with you, it's different."
Akshara picked at the lilac paint on the desk. "I don't know what you mean."
"Of course, you do. Now tell me. Did I offend you in any way? Did I kill you in my past life?"
Akshara rolled her eyes. "You didn't do anything wrong. I am the one who has issues."
