When we pulled up, the house was just as I remembered it. Extremely modern and overlooking the beach. Then it hit me, a huge whiff of sea salt and wind and my puppy Jeremiah!! I missed him so much! I got him when my parents split up. Following him was my mother. She gave me the biggest hug ever. I missed her so much, it's unbelievable how much you can miss someone, and I honestly just missed the little things, like how her nose wrinkled when she knew I was telling a lie, or even just when she picked me up from school with the best after school snacks ever. Dad never did that type of stuff for me. I love her. She's amazing and i'm so grateful for her. After our greeting, she introduced me to the one and only Jackson.
-"Hi. I'm Jackson, nice to meet you." He said in the hottest voice ever.
-"The name is Maddie! Ruby has told me all about you!" I said nervously.
-"Haha. She can be a bit too outgoing sometimes." He said
-"I totally get it."
-" Okay you two. Go have fun. I'm going to talk to Ruby." Interrupted my mother.
Thank God she interrupted before I said anything stupid. I now know, this is going to be a great summer.
