Six

There Peter and I stood in the hallway his hands on my waist and me so close to him I can see the hint of amber in his dark brown eyes staring down at me with a look I never seen on his face before. Admiration. The boy I always hated and couldn't stand just two days ago is now holding me tightly in the hallway of school and I didn't care, I didn't want him to pull away but everyone's eyes and attention grew as I begin to feel uncomfortable.
''Peter. Everyone's staring.'' I whisper quietly but because we was so close he heard me however his eyes never left mine not once.
''Date with me tonight?'' He says it as a question but looking into his eyes as they turn darker and looking at his expression I could tell it was more of a demand but I couldn't say no the me two days ago would have laughed in his face and said no which I did when he asked me on a date in the library. But there was a change, it was either in the air or between me or maybe just with him. I felt lost for words feeling his warm touch move from my waist to my hands, the way his warm pale hands grab mine. I nod slowly.
''Okay.'' Is all I can manage to say as we still never took our eyes off one another. He slightly smiles before pulling away and hearing the bell ring.
''Tonight at seven I'll pick you up.'' He says before walking away, I sigh a deep breath looking at him as he leaves. Yep this week is only getting weirder by the seconds. I walk to class sitting next to Mj.
''Hey.'' I smile at her and I'm surprised to see her smile back.
''Hey.'' She replies.
''You seem happy?'' I chuckle.
''Yeah well after seventeen years of dealing with Maddie I'm not surprised and I talk to Jackson and he said it's cool and he likes me to.'' She whispers.
''What?! That's awesome way to go Mj.'' I whisper back pretending to write notes not bothering to listen to the lesson.
''Not as awesome as being the supreme witch. By the way you and Peter?'' She questions looking at me. The mention of his name makes my cheeks grow even more pink then they already are from my blush.
''Word travels fast. And nothing's going on with Peter, trust.'' I reply not sure if I'm lying or not I sit questioning myself for the rest of the lesson if there is something going on or not, who knows anymore.
After class Mj and I walked out of class catching up on what has happened since the party we was laughing and in deep conversation until we see everyone gather around the stairs to see Avery at the top of the stairs.
''I am honored to announce I will be running for honor council to give you a true leader I hope I can count on you're vote.'' She smiles proudly while Dakota her twin but more like her personal assistant hands out cupcakes with her face on them. I roll my eyes as Mj starts to freak out.
''This is bad she's totally going to win, everyone here like loves her cause her father is Thor who is a god!" Mj says frantically. I know how much this means to her and I get a voice in my head.
''You're the supreme witch now so you're there alpha they only do as you say, there kind of like you're minions if you will.''
Peter's voice booms through my head.
''Don't worry about it Mj I got a plan I got it all under control, I'll see you later just go practice you're speech.'' I assure her and walk away making my way towards the witches table which has Maddie sitting on the table drinking a smoothie.
''Uh- witches uh-?'' I stutter trying to find the right words.
''Assemble?'' Maddie quicks me off laughing. I roll my eyes.
''Look I need you're help everyone here has to vote for Mj for honor council and spread the word.'' I tell them hopeful. Maddie scoffs.
''Why would I do anything you say?'' She smirks. I feel a wave of confidence come over me as I take a step closer.
''Because I am the supreme so I am you're alpha.'' I say coldly towards Maddie causing the rest of the witches to stay silent. Maddie gives me a glare clenching her jaw.
''Okay fine.'' She smirks evilly. ''But even with our votes Mj is never gonna win against Avery. Everyone at this school is practically scared of her father who is a God and will vote for her.'' She finishes but gives me a good idea.
''Well lucky for us I know someone who has more of a scary father than Avery's.'' I reply smirking causing everyone to look at me confused.
After a few minutes I find Peter at lunch with his friends, Landon and Harrison sat as they all laughed over something Peter said was funny. I mentally roll my eyes and walk over there tapping Peter's shoulder.
Without even looking up to see who it is he replies. ''Yes Eleanor.'' Still not looking up at me.
''I need to talk to you.'' I say before taking a seat next to him and notice Landon and Harrison's confused looks about to say something snarky but Peter looks up at them giving them a glare basically telling them to leave with just a few seconds they're get up and speed walk away.
''I need a favor.'' I look at him hopeful his eyes finally looking at mine.
''Already asking for favors now are we darling?'' He smirks.
''Look seriously please Peter it's important.'' I please, he huffs in frustration and nods telling me to go on.
I go on and tell him what he needs to do and he agrees without any convincing which is surprising to me. That was a lot easier than expected.
After I make my way back to Mj and Natalie.
''So any plans tonight?'' Mj asks as we walk to our next class.
''Just me and my arrow.'' Nat laughs. Much like her father she never misses. No like ever it's kinda scary.
''What about you El?'' Nat asks me, both the girls staring at me. Damn it do I tell them about my date with Peter tonight. I mean it's basically nothing, and if I tell them there just gonna freak out about how he's a jerk and is just gonna try to hook up with me and hurt me or whatever so selfishly I lie.
'' Uh it's my moms birthday.'' I nod coming up with the first fake excuse I can.
''Oh really?'' Nat asks.
''Yeah just gonna head to there house and hang out for a little bit it's a quiet interment thing.'' I lie once again feeling guilty.
