The Weird Dinner | Chapter 9

I have to visit Mirabel for now, i'm not sure if she's doing ok but hoping she's on her journey or thinking about the Casita crack happened like yesterday. It's 5 in the afternoon, well I think it's the time where Mirabel has free time for sure.....I went outside, papá is going to day off at his work again.....While I'm walking to the streets, I notice it's getting night right now obviously. Before I went to the Casita I saw Mariano and his abuela, Mrs. De Guzman with Doña Alma and Mariano walking with them to the Casita. I take a peak where they're now setting up the table with plates and glasses, even utensils but I noticed that they're at singing again while helping each other with setting up the dinner. But then Doña Alma noticed me, "Oh, why are you here Y/n?" While I'm walking with her since I don't want to be that person to run away inside the Casita without permission or ruining anything. "Lo siento, Doña Alma. I just want to visit Mirabel for a while..." I gave her an awkwardly smile, which she don't know what I'm hiding but she just accepts anything anyways "I don't know with Mirabel, you can be with her whatever time. Oh, yeah you should have dinner with us by the way before you go home later." With a tone I always hear when talking to Señora Julieta like that but when she mentioned Mirabel, it's a upset tone I've never heard. What did she do with Mirabel? What did Mirabel even also did? I have to find it out soon. As I went in to the Casita, I noticed Camilo greeted me "Hola! We meet again, Y/n" He is still happy just like yesterday but while he's now on a dinner with the De Guzmans for Mariano's proposal to Isabela. "Yeah" but then I look at Señor Agustín who is about to go upstairs to get Mirabel for dinner since the food and plates are set up on the table now. "Ah! Señor Agustín, are you about to get Mirabel?" I asked before he's about to head in to nursery room. "Yes, you can also get her for dinner too!" I nod but then I realized when he called Mirabel he didn't knock on the door but just opened the door in which I also went into the room, making Mirabel flinch and there are some green shards on the table. Mirabel hiding and leaning onto it which the Casita made the table move a little for her to hide it but then Agustín with a shock face, until Mirabel explain about those shards she found. "I.....broke into Bruno's tower to find his last vision and the family is in trouble, the magic is dying, the house is breaking, Luisa's gift is fading and I think it's all because of me...?" She awkwardly smile, but then me and Agustín went to look at the green glowing shards that Mirabel puzzled which Agustín still has that shocked face but meanwhile for me I examine it which it's a so called vision of Mirabel as the front and the Casita has cracks at the back. But then Agustín rushing putting the glowing green shards at his pocket, "We say nothing. Abuela wants the night to be perfect till the De Guzmans leave, you did not break into Bruno's tower, the magic is not dying and the house is not breaking." As he whispered to Mirabel because he doesn't want anybody to hear it...I look outside and you heard Dolores eavesdropping outside the door of Doña Alma. I look back at Señor Agustín who is telling Mirabel to act like nothing happened, "No one has to know." But then I look back at Dolores who squeak "Hm! I know." She whispered and rush away to the dining table. Mierda. Me, Mirabel and Señor Agustín who also look at where Dolores was from a while ago before she leaves quickly "She will tell everyone." Mirabel says.

The three of us went downstairs for the dinner with the De Guzmans and also Mariano's proposal to Isabela as the news I heard from the townspeople. Then I sit between Mirabel and Isabela, I look at Camilo who is also staring at me "Nice dinner aren't we?" He asked and I nodded at him while giving him a fake smile, I lean a bit just to see Mirabel staring at Dolores to each other but then when Isabela pass me the bowl with avocado in it, I put the food in my plate and then pass it to Mirabel. But then Mirabel move the bowl away to see the view of her staring at Dolores back again which I also look at Dolores but we both saw her talking about on what Mirabel did and now I look at Camilo who cough whilst quickly shapeshifting into Mirabel and then into that one Señor Bruno he imagined about and then to himself but his face....I cover my mouth not knowing to react if to laugh or be shock or react both. But then Isabela passed me the jar of water, I pour it to my glass and also pour the water on Mirabel's glass and then lean over a bit to pass it to Señor Agustín, he took the jar of water but then me and Mirabel look at Dolores and Camilo again, which I look at Camilo who told Señor Felix about it. Uh oh, we're going to be messed the dinner up. We both quickly look at Felix who spit water and I look at Camilo who has that successfully mixed of worried smile he made, I give him that irritated and mad look for what he did. Until I look at Doña Alma who has that smiling face hiding the disgusting expression as I examine, "Uhh...Doña Alma, is everything alright?" I ask without interrupting their kind of necessary conversation with Mrs. De Guzman "Yes, I'm alright well...." She gave me a smile and keeps talking to Mrs. De Guzman, Then Doña Alma requested to get the cream, I awkwardly smile "Mirabel, Señor Agustín, the cream cheese..!" "Pá, the cream–" Señor Agustín pass the cream to Mirabel, then Mirabel give the cream to me and I pass it to Isabela who gave me that mixed of irritated and a look that it's nice until she take the cream to pass it on. "Mirabel, if everything starts to spread. It's nobody's fault, got me?" I whispered at her which she nodded. But then Señor Felix whisper and tell about it to Señora Pepa, she gave us that shocked face while her thunder appeared above, Doña Alma looks at Señora Pepa for that "Uhh Pepa, the cloud" Señora Pepa tries to calm herself down but she can't move on, "Señora Pepa, please move on and forget about everything....You can uh think about the err.....any positive imagination things!" I clap my hands while I gave her a fake grin, then Señora Pepa tries to calm down and move on, trying to get her mood away but then she tell about it also to Señora Julieta, Mirabel's mom. Me and Mirabel look at each other which we realize that we messed up....until Mirabel leaned down under the table which she saw the cracks under, until she hit herself accidentally with a table. But she got back at position sitting again, "Is everything alright, Mirabel?" Mariano asked but then Agustín hold Mirabel's hand, with a fake grin "Yeah! Everything is alright...you should uhh...start the proposal quickly!" He chuckled "Yes, yes! It's like..well...Y/n pls help out Isabela" I got up to follow Mirabel's request, just to make Isabela face on Mariano. She gave me that 'you weird, pls get of off me and his face' look that I haven't seen before, which I look at Mrs. De Guzman "Well yeah I mean, Mariano has a song for her" She awkwardly smile while Mirabel gets up and makes Mariano face on Isabela also. Doña Alma requested Luisa "Luisa, can you carry the piano?" As Luisa cried "Okay..." which I feel bad for her...wait...did she just forgot what I said to her? Oh no. I should help! "Uhm Doña Alma, I'll go help Luisa out there!" I got up quickly and went after her where she's about to get the piano "Luisa. Remember what I told you okay? It's alright, now I'm here to help" Luisa looks at me with her face being still sad, I sighed and help her start carrying the piano. "Here it is!" I gave them a fake smile which I look at Mirabel throw herself to cover the cracks at the ground "I'm okay!" She said without making her back hurt, I told Luisa to let herself rest as we both drop the piano carefully at the ground and I went behind Mirabel to hide it not until sadly we saw an animal taking the shards from Señor Agustín's pocket, Mariano starts doing the proposal to Isabela as for Mirabel....she starts to chase the animals under the table and went to follow them who are picking and puzzling up the shards. Until while I was watching the proposal scene and then.......
