            It was once again the fateful weekend of Vidcon but today, you and PJ were going to Universal Studios. You drove there early in the morning, the two of you singing along to the Juno soundtrack. When you arrived at the parking lot, you paid 15 dollars and soon enough, the two of you were entering the park. You visited the Special Effects stage first and PJ’s eyes lit up. He watched everything in awe and you laughed when he mentioned that Jamie would be jealous. You went on the Jurassic Park ride and the Revenge of the Mummy ride as well as two others.

            It was almost three when the two of you entered the Universal CityWalk. You bought some trinkets for friends back home and PJ took tons of pictures of the two of you, posting some to Instagram. Finally, you were ready to do the Studio Tour after a ride on The Simpsons Ride. The line was as torturously long as for the rides but you eventually made it to the front. The tour guide was a lovely woman named Patrice and she told you all about the sets. PJ was always quick to beat her, though, and would whisper things into your ear about each set. You’d giggle and try to look nonchalant as people would glance at you.

            At the end of the ride, you noticed a familiar face.

“Kincaid!” you called out and you saw the man’s head turn.

His smile grew large and you ran up to him. He hugged you and you hugged him tightly back.

“I haven’t seen you in forever!” the auburn-haired man laughed.

“Gosh, Thomas! You look good, dude!” you smiled and he chuckled.

“Thanks, y/n! Who’s this?” he asked, motioning towards PJ, who was behind you with eyebrows furrowed.

“Oh, this is PJ, my boyfriend! Peej, this is Tom Kincaid, my ex-boyfriend.”

Tom grabbed PJ’s hand in a strong shake and you noticed PJ flinch away from him.

“How’ve you been, y/n?”

“I’ve been wonderful! Living the dream in London like I said I would! You?”

“Well, I’m actually on set here. I’m going to be in a movie! As one of the background characters! If the movie goes well, I might be able to be on a TV show as a new character!”

Tom’s smile was wide and you smiled back, “That’s great! I’m here with Peej for Vidcon. PJ here is a super famous YouTuber.”

PJ chuckled nervously and looked down, “I’m not that famous.”

“Yes you are! You’ve been recognized quite a bit here, you mook.”

He turned pink, “I’m going to go to the bathroom. Nice to meet you, Tom.”

He left quickly and you frowned, “Sorry, Thomas. He’s usually okay with people. I guess the California heat’s getting to him.”

Tom chuckled and hugged you again, “It was really nice to see you. I have to go now. Here’s my number. You need to call me sometime! I miss you a lot.”

You tell him you miss him too and hug him one more time before looking for PJ. He’s sitting on a bench outside of the bathrooms and you sit next to him.

“What’s wrong?”

“What do you mean?”

“Peej, something’s wrong. Your head is down and the little laugh line you get when you smile isn’t there.”

He looked at you with an undecipherable look before looking back down, “How long ago did you go out with Thomas?”

“He was my second boyfriend sooooo seven months ago? Before we started dating. It lasted only two months because I moved to London.”

“But you didn’t split up with him because you stopped liking him?”

“Nope. It was a mutual decision, though. We knew a long distance relationship wouldn’t work. I’m glad we didn’t because then I met you a month later. And I’m definitely glad because I found the man I love.”

PJ looked up at you, “Why me? I mean, look at him. He’s good-looking and he’s more successful than I’ll ever be.”

You frown and look into PJ’s eyes, “Mister Liguori, who here in this entire park won an award for a short film? Who here has thousands of fans waiting for him at a convention center? Who here has the most creative imagination next to Da Vinci and Walt Disney? You. I love you so much and no other person will ever change my mind.”

PJ’s eyes glistened and his smile returned slightly, “Next to Da Vinci and Disney?”

“Of course, love. Tom is a nice guy but you’re the one who inspires me and loves me for who I am. You make me a better me,” you murmured and PJ kissed the tip of your nose.

“Sorry for being so unconfident.”

You shook your head and placed your head in the crook of his neck, “Not your fault. If an ex-girlfriend of yours came up, I’d be equally unconfident.”

PJ grinned at you and stood up, “Come on then. Let’s finish our adventure.”

You took his outstretched hand and stood. He kissed your temple and the two of you head off, ready for more excitement.
