Laxus stared down at the note in his hands blinking a few times before he raised a brow what the fuck is this supposed to be? he looked back at his wife who also had a look of confusion "I don't know what this is either" Hisui answered her husband's unasked question "what does it say?" Natsu peeked over the lightning dragon slayers shoulder "it appears that Hoshiko-" "your highness another note has just come in!" Arcadios burst in through the guild doors holding a piece of paper.

Laxus took it scanning over the contents of the letter before he looked his eyes searching a certain pair of opposites across the guildhall he made eye contact with the infamous dark wizard Zeref Dragneel who made a beeline for him and his brother who was still trying to decipher what was written in the first letter "what's wrong?" Juvia asked sensing something wrong "well it seems that both Akasuki and Hoshiko are in the hands of Ivan" both of their eyes widened as fear gripped the water mages heart "not my Akasuki..." the water mage grabbed the nearest object to her for support as tears slipped out of eyes.

"What were you thinking?" Akasuki hissed out glaring at the blonde in front of her "I'm sorry okay? how was I supposed to know he was trying to kidnap me?" Hoshiko asked "that not the problem! I mean what in the world were you thinking picking a fight with him?!" the bluenette scowled "and why are you here Akira?!" said male rolled his eyes really starting to regret his choice of coming to save this ungrateful girl "I came here to help you women" Akasuki stared at the male sort of touched in a sense "yeah but how did you get here?" the blonde sighed remembering the months which lead up to his decision which eventually lead him back to Akasuki.

After he'd heard the news of someone shooting Akasuki the blonde had rushed to the hospital to see her only to find out that she'd gone into a coma.

When Erza Fullbuster was sobbing beside the bluenette who was hooked up to machines whereas Gray Fullbuster her adopted father stared at her emotionlessly something about the ravenette's behaviour just angered Akira in a way.

It had been months of visits to the hospital for the people closest to Akasuki heck even Zeref her biological father came out of hiding for his daughter however the two never really talked to each other that is until one day when Akira walked into the hospital like any other day holding her favourite flowers "you're her boyfriend right?" Zeref Dragneel asked the blonde who had just walked into the room "of course not have you lost your mind?" Akira raised a brow.

 "friend?"

"no"

"classmate?"

"nope"

"Perhaps you're a secre-"

"No why would you assume that?!"

"Then why in the world do you visit her everyday?" the ravenette gave him that look as if he knew something Akira didn't "it's complicated" he scratched his cheek of course he wasn't about to admit the fact he cared for this annoying girl who insisted on being friends with him "I see" he was really starting to get annoyed with that look Zeref gave him "stop giving me that look, old man!" of course his anger got the better of him for the second time that day "what the fuck is wrong with you?!" Zeref realised that Akira a lot like Laxus was quick to lose his temper over a few things.

Akasuki felt flattered in all the years she's known her delinquent of a classmate he's always either insulted others or completely ignored their existences but for him to be willing to come save her lord knows hows was saying how much she meant to him "how did-" "does that really matter right now?!" Akira cut the bluenette off "we need to get out of wherever we are".
