The woman, named Alma, went to the men & put her hands up as a way to say she surrendered. "Stop the violence please, we're all from the same village, let us get along."
On the 10th of May in 1905, Pedro planned to run but than he saw the sword swept his wife's head off. He yelled in anguish which caused the candle he was holding came with a burst of light, blasting the attackers away. It brought the mountains up to protect any outsiders from approaching & created the Casita. Everyone looked around in awe as more houses were brought up as Pedro held his sleeping triplets. This, was the beginning of the village, Encanto.
