Poem 1 : Just Thinking

Just Thinking of all the breakfast we shared with a side of conversation

You're the only one whom ever took me stargazing

I had never experienced an enigma like you

You were beautiful

All the shared cups of coffee & shared cups of comfortable silence

Yet I could not comprehend the day I knew it was over

My breath came to a halt yet yours never faltered

You carried on like my earth wasn't shattered

I had been sober for months because you were my greatest high

I guess I should've known it'd come with extreme lows

The day was warm as the sun rays beat on my face

But little did we know it was the end of our perfect world

With one word I was hollow

The way your lips curled ever so elegantly

You said her name in ways you never could mine
