Ethan panted as a once yelling mother maranda stood
He had killed her...
Rose was safely tucked away in his jacket
He ran over to her where he had played her and picked her up
He cradled her as she cried for her father
"It's okay now rose the evil woman is gone" Ethan said gently rocking her
He had planned to just blow everything up with Chris but Chris had found a spell that would bond anything evil to the land
Keeping them trapped in the small village that they all hated or loved so much
However Chris had no idea if Ethan and himself would be trapped inside but it was a risk they where willing to take
As he rocked her to sleep he looked up to see If he could find Chris anywhere, if he did then Chris was trapped if not Chris had reported back
Ethan slowly limped to the duke
"Ah Ethan I'm guessing you've finally defeated her congrats, rose is very cute, have these on me" Duke handed Ethan some bandages
Ethan limped to lean on the side on the dukes cart and he set rose in his lap
Bamdgeing his leg and stomach he heard Duke close his shop and a few people running
He was in view of them
They aproched Ethan asking a ton of questions
And when one asked to take rose it was the only time he answered an
"No." It was a very breathy and quiet sound but they understood
One of them picked Ethan up and started carrying him out of the village
At that moment Ethan became unresponsive
His vision going blurry as they came upon the camp
He heard lots of people around him before fully passing out
He opened his eyes to a green tent above him
"Your awake! Sir do you remember your name?" The medic asked
Ethan sat up and looked around
"Where's rose?" He asked
"Sir I need you to answer me"
"Ethan winters, where is she?" Ethan replied not even bothering to look at the medic
"Do you remember what happened?"
"Vivid detail, where is she." Ethan stared the medic down
The person obviously didn't know about what happened but was called on anyways
"Sir please work with me, what year is it?"
"No where is she" Ethan stood up
"Sir please-"
"If you don't know where she is then I don't wanna hear it." Ethan exited the tent being met with Chris and another medic talking
"Ethan go sit back down rose is safe." Chris said
"I can't trust you anymore, take me to her." Ethan said
Chris sighed and stared walking to a blue tent
Ethan followed
Entering he saw rose layed on a crib
Ethan limped forward and collapsed as he held onto the side
Chris imidietly tried helping him up before he stoped as he heard Ethan cry
"Ethan?"
Ethan didn't respond
He got a flash back to when he first put down rose to sleep before this whole mess happened
Hearing the conversation he and Mia had hearing her cried of pain from getting shot
It almost felt satisfying that he was finally done with the chaos that had broken his family
He smiled as he looked up to see rose sleep
"Mia's in another tent
Ethans smile faded and his eyes seemed to go dead
"Chris..."
Chris stoped as he was about to leave to get Mia
"Please... Don't.."
Chris stopped
A silence fell over them
"Okay..." Chris left the tent and started talking to a medic
After a little Chris came back in Ethan was still watching rose sleep slightly smiling
"Ethan..."
Ethan took his eyes off rose and looked over to Chris
"You and mia need to go to a local hospital.."
Ethan stood up and turned to look at Chris
Chris aproched Ethan and grabed his arm
Pulling up the cozy sweater that Donna gave him straight scars littered his arm
Chris sighed and returned the arm to Ethan
"I was afraid that you where harming yourself but.... These wherernt done by you where they.."
An uncomfortable silence fell onto Ethan he only blankly stared at the floor
"Was... Was this Mia?" Chris finally asked the question, even though Ethan knew what would be asked before it was spoken
Ethan sighed before answering
"M-maybe..."
Chris pulled Ethan in for a hug
"Where going to keep you separate"

Ethan woke to loud yelling and rose crying after he had fallen asleep next to her cradle
He quickly got up and took rose out of he cradle and started to rock her
"It's okay rosie it'll all be okay" after a little the yelling died down and rose fell back asleep
Ethan placed her back into the cradle and unzipped the tent peeking out he saw Mia arguing with guards and Chris
Chris and turned his head and saw Ethan peeking
And after a few seconds the yelling started again
Ethans desided to fuck it
If he could face a giant evil mold creature Them he could face his abusive wife
He left the tent and aproched at the back unknoticable and told one of the soldiers that it was too noisy lol
The message was passed up to Chris and Ethan heard Chris say
"Keep him away from her"
Then he heard the source of the yelling
"ARE YOU KEEPING MY OWN HUSBAND AWAY FROM ME!?"
"We know what you've done to him."
He was taken back to roses tent and told to stay there
He heard more yelling and tried to keep rose from crying but it wouldn't he tried blocking her ears with his hands and held her close but nothing worked
He put rose into her cradle and heard the sounds of footsteps and the zipper being unzipped
Quickly turning around he saw Mia standing right there
"YOU LITTLE WHORE" she yelled as she grabbed Ethan by the arm
She was quickly pulled off him but Chris and other guards
Rose cried louder as Mia kept yelling profanities at him and calling him a slut and a snitch
As the guards sedated mia Chris went over to comfort Ethan
"You alright?" Chris said
Ethan just teared up As he turned to picked up rose and cradled her
Turning back to Chris
Tears where streaming down his face as he gently rocked the crying baby back to her peaceful sleep
"It's going to be okay Ethan she going to be put in court and we'll go from there"
Chris leaned into Ethan and held his shoulders
"Do you want rose to sleep with you?" Chris asked
Ethans nodded
"Hey"
Ethan looked up to Chris
"It's gonna be okay"
He guided Ethan to the tent he woke up in and let him lay down with rose
"Good night Ethan"
Ethan didn't respond but Chris could tell he was greatful

As Ethan opened his eyes he saw rose sleeping on his arms he had layed out when sleeping
He got up and woke up rose
She seemed so happy to see him
Chris walked in as Ethan hung his legs over the side of the cot
"Morning, we have to do testing for mold before we can put you back into your home" Chris said
"Same stuff from last time?" Ethan asked
"A less painful needle I'm sure"
Ethan laughed a little and rose seemed to be interested in why he was laughing
"We do have to split you two for a little but I'm required to be in the room with rose if that makes any difference"
Ethan smiled down at rose
"It dose.."

The testing was very tiring and Ethan was very tired and done with it when he finished
"Well I am pretty sure I am mold" Ethan admits when asked
"And why do you think that?"
"I mean do you think you could survive your heart getting ripped out? Not to mention that it some how re-grew" Ethan told the man
After a little Ethan was let back into his tent and told to stay there
Sitting on the cot he looks around to find nothing but his sad cot
He stayed there for a while till Chris came back in
"Uhm, well you already know this but your part mold and if we took this mold out you would die" Chris said
"Hm..."
"Rose is also almost all mold and she is going to be kept with you at your house" Chris said
"Alright"
"But as we get access to a place for you to stay in the village you will have to pack up your stuff and move there"
"Heh guess I get a little vacation from all the madness" Ethan laughed a little
