Chapter 28: Starlight

Harrison's POV

"Careful."sabi ko pa habang inaalalayan s'ya umakyat sa bato

"Thank you."ngiti n'ya pagdating namin sa taas

I hugged her, grabbed her hand and placed it in the air.

"Look at the stars, honey."ngiti ko habang yakap s'ya mula sa likod. "They're stunning, aren't they?"

"They are."sagot n'ya habang nakangiti

"Do you know what makes them even special?"

Wind passes through our faces and it felt like it's telling me to love her with all of my heart.

"Ano?"harap n'ya sa'kin

She was smiling so much that it made me too stunned to speak or move.

"Aris? Ano nga?"tawa n'ya

"Sorry, i was speechless for a second, ang ganda mo kasi eh."tawa ko at hinawakan ang kamay n'ya. "Anyways, it's the starlight."

I've decided now.

"Paano mo naman nasabi?"tanong n'ya pa

I wanna be with her for the rest of my life anď even after that, ayokong umalis sa tabi mo, Dhey.

"Because imagine seeing a star covered in darkness, doesn't seem too wonderful, right? But if you imagine a world full of stars shining through the dark, you're heart just might explode with too much joyness."harap ko sa kaniya sa sky

I was once a star covered in darkness.

"The starlight made the star better and it is what helped the star light up the whole world, it's what made the star noticeable."dagdag ko pa

But she came.

"Sabagay, may point ka."tawa n'ya

"Dhey..."dahan-dahang pagpapaharap ko sa kaniya sa akin

"Hmm?"tingin n'ya sa'kin

I grabbed her cheek to kiss it and whispered to her ear.

"You are my starlight."

"And you are mine, Aris."ngiti n'ya

I held her hand and kneeled down.

"Miss Zhindy Manio, will you marry me?"naiiyak na tanong ko habang nakatitig sa mga mata n'ya

I was too focused on her eyes that i didn't even notice na umiiyak na pala ako, na sobrang saya ko.

"Aris.."

Her eyes looked at me as if they were stars too, they shine, they glow.

"You are my starlight, the one who made me special throughout the night."ngiti ko. "I've loved you since the day we met, Dhey. Ikaw mula noon at mananatiling ikaw."

"So please accept this ring, for it is my way of expressing the love i have for you. Sabi ko naman sayo, hindi ba? Babawi ako."iyak ko habang nakangiti

I know i look stupid but who cares?

"Aris naman eh!"punas n'ya sa luha n'ya habang nakangiti

"I really planned to do this at night para nakikita tayo nila tito at tita."tingin ko sa mga bituin

"Tita? Tito? Please help me po, parang ayaw ata akong pakasalan ng anak n'yo."pagbibiro ko which made her laugh

"Sira!"hampas n'ya sa'kin

"So? Is it a yes or a no? Handa ka bang samahan ako sa panibagong yugto ng buhay ko, Dhey?"

"You know i can never say no to you."ngiti n'ya sa akin
