I did a bit of research, but since I'm not an expert on this I won't go deep on this. Sorry •-• ↓
So, from my understanding of this song, this song is about "White Friday"; the war that happened between the Italians and the Austro-Hungarians on the alps, during WW1. While there, avalanches hit their army, killing hundreds on both sides.

Btw, the soldier with a green uniform is an Italian soldier, while the one with a blue uniform is an Austro-Hungarian soldier.
