I. last minute decision

"i cant do this anymore" i sighed placing my pen back down after staring at the blank page for an hour trying to come up with lyrics to a new song for my new album. i decided to go away for while to clea my head of all the stress LA is giving me right now and maybe i'll get some inspiration when im away for a song but who knows only time will tell. my brother recently just went back to charleston to film for the new season of outer banks, a netflix tv show he stars in, so i decided to go fly out and stay with him for a bit. i walked down the hall from bedroom to the kitchen where my laptop was sitting at the island and booked tickets for the next flight i could get out of here. i managed to get tickets for 5 hours time so once they were book i ran to my room and quickly packed whatever i needed for as long im deciding to stay out there for.

after texting rudy i watched some tv for about an hour before leaving for the airport. when i landed i pulled my phone out letting rudy know i have landed. a few short minutes past and he arrived "hey lil sis i misses you" he pulled me into a hug "you saw me like 4 weeks ago" i laughed "oh what so i cant miss my little sister no" he questioned sarcastically as we put my bags in the trunk of his car "hm no" i jokingly shook my head getting in the car "everyone else is at the apartment by the way i would say its because they wanna see you but they were actually there before you texted me" rudy said as we set off  "yeah sure whatever" i said knowing hes joking "what im being serious" he tried lying "dont lie i can tell your lying" i looked at him "how can you" he asked "your turning into pinocchio" i laughed "your such a child" rudy laughed back.

we arrived at the apartment and i immediately got greeted by madelyn and madison hugging me soon followed by jd, chase, austin and drew. "im guessing im the favourite pankow sibling because you never greeted like that by anyone" i joked when i stopped hugging everyone, making everyone laugh "your not" rudy scoffed "yeah she is" austin said "ha see told ya" i laughed"don't believe a word they say they're all liers" rudy told me as he sat on the couch "they aren't turning into pinocchio though are they" i commented "wait what pinocchio" chase asked "he lied to me saying that you guys weren't here to see me and that you was here before i even messaged him" i shrugged "dude your so dumb obviously we came to see issy she is the best pankow after all" jd said "ha sucker" i said "anyways what are we gonna do today" i said flopping on the couch "what about going to the beach after the boys have finished their game" madison recommend "lets do that" everyone agreed.

"hey i heard you need a place to stay" drew whispered in my ear "that i do indeed" i replied "no ones staying with me so theres a spare room you can take" he offered "really" i asked smiling "yup" he nodded "thank you drew" i hugged him "ru wheres your car keys" i asked my brother "what do you want them for" he asked "i need to get my stuff ive found somewhere to stay" i informed him "where" he asked "omg stop with all the questions" i rolled my eyes "its at drews he has a spare room and offered me it" i said "ok here take the keys" he said handing me them "and you no funny business with my sister got it" rudy pointed at drew "got it" drew nodded at the blonde. we got my bags and took them to drews apartment "thank you for letting me live with you for a while starkey" i thanked drew, hugging him after my bags were in my room "no problem pankow" he replied "whats the reason your actually here for rudy didnt say" drew asked sitting on the couch "oh i just needed a break from everything. LA was just too stressful i couldn't take it plus i hd to write songs for my new album but i had no inspo for them so i thought getting away will be good" i told the boy as i next to him "you could get some inspiration here for your songs" drew said "i know i just kinda wanna take a break from all that right now" i sighed "is everything ok" he asked concerned "yeah everything's fine why do you ask" i looked at him "you just dont seem yourself" he told me "im fine trust me" i smiled "can we stay up here for a while rudys is too loud and ive got a raging headache" i asked "yeah sure wanna watch a movie" drew asked "yeah" i nodded. we chose a movie to watch and sat in a comfortable silence. i felt myself starting to get tired so i layed my head on drews shoulder before falling asleep.

after talking to rudy i carried issy to her room and put her in bed "drew can you stay i don't wanna be alone" she mumbled as i placed the covers over her body "yeah i'll be back in sec im gonna get changed out of these clothes" i told her softly. i got out of my day clothes and put on a pair of joggers and went back to issys room. when i layed down she moved so her head was on my chest "your comfortable to sleep on" she said softly "am i" i asked laughing slightly "mhm" she nodded. soon after i fell asleep too

how did you like this first part? im trying with everything in me to not write issy and drew going on a date so soon (like 4 chapters in) but ig it doesn't really matter so much as they have known eachother since 2019 so its been like 3 years since they met first so obviously they have a relationship already but i kinda wanna make this a slow burn but idk if i will.
