VIOLET'S FAMILY NEVER REALLY CARED. She was the elephant in the room, the skeletons in the closet. She was weird, most would say.
Her mother used to always say to her, "Nobody likes a girl who talks too much."
But Violet never cared for boys all that much. Or, anyone. She was always alone.
Me and Violet met when she checked my pulse in a public park bathroom. She didn't call me a burden, or anything like that. She just helped.
I'm her only friend. She said she sees me as an older sister.
Violet has anxiety. Kinda social, but kinda not. She can chat up a storm with me, but not really anyone else. She has this overwhelming weight on her shoulders that something bad is always going to happen.
