ꕥThe Way to Protect the Female Lead's Older Brother

@vincentbertrum ! Wow that sure took longer than I thought it would. ☹ What, 4 weeks? Well it's here!!

Also, some names might be different from what you are used to because we might have read different translations. I'm quite sure that most of the things about saints/saintesses are probably not accurate. (You are a saintess) Please tell me if there are any errors. Enjoy!

Today, as you didn't have any blessings to perform and had finished all your other jobs (like cleaning a VERY large portion of the temple), you were off to see your favorite people in the entire world. The Agreces. 

Of course, you had notified them beforehand. You couldn't expect to be treated like the empress you are after you had just busted in with absolutely no warning. Especially when all the Agreces were always very busy. 

When you arrived, a maid was there to greet you. You stepped inside, and the maid led you into a circular room adorned with many (probably poisonous,) rare flowers. There, Roxana had set up a small table with many colorful sweets on a plater. She sipped her tea and smiled when she saw that you had arrived.

You bowed slightly and said, "Thank you for making time for me."

"Anytime." Roxana waved at the chair opposite her, signaling for you to sit. You did as she ordered, and, surprisingly, almost as gracefully as the goddess before you would have. She poured you a cup of (random/flavor) tea. You received the beautiful glass (not as beautiful as Xana, obv) and took a piece of (random/flavor) cake 🍰as well. 

Since you are horrible at starting conversations, even with those you were very close with, there was silence for at least a few minutes. (In case you're wondering, the maid the brought you here left a while ago) At least it wasn't awkward.

Capturing your fourth éclair of the day, Roxana took the lead and finally decided to actually do something with your visit.

"Would you like to see my new toy again?" She proposed. (ㆁuㆁʃƪ)♡

"Of course!" standing up, you grabbed one last fruit tart. Roxana stood up and started towards the door with you right behind her. Walking through the carpeted hallways, you examined the intricately carved columns lining the walls. There were flowers, animals, and other detailed designs. No matter how many times you saw them you would always be amazed. 

When you two were about to turn a corner, a beautiful woman with golden hair and deep blue eyes came across your path. 

"Lady Sierra!" you exclaimed as you bowed.

"Oh, (Y/N)! It's nice to see you again. Where are you two going?" she didn't look very happy just a moment ago; now she was smiling. 

"I'm bringing her to see my toy," Roxana replied before you could say anything. The corners of her mouth were tilted upwards as well, but not in the same way as her mother. 

(but is this how xana would really act?? Like I'm not sure how she feels about her mother...)

Sierra shivered ever so slightly and responded. "Alright then. Enjoy your stay. Goodbye (Y/N), Xana." She kept her smile on her lips even though it had left her eyes. 

(wow that was quick. 😔)

You and Roxana continued on your way and finally reached the door that led to Cassis's room. Before she opened the door, you asked, "Could we walk outside in the garden? With your toy? I'd like to see him in a place with better lighting. It would be a shame if we could only enjoy him in such dark places."
