Relieved at the sudden response that he received through his earpiece, Neos attempted to answer his friend to assure him that he's ok as he began to slowly step down the thirty stories that remained below him.
Neos: Sub? Sub, I'm here!
Sub: Neos! Oh, thank god. I managed to find a loophole in the COMS system. Where are you?
Neos: Uh, I'm just, ya know.. hanging around.
Sub: Neos, seriously, where are you?!
Neos: I know you're being serious, I am too!
Sub: Wait... What do you mean by hanging around?
Neos: Ummm... Alright, Grimmus texted me, telling me to meet him on the fiftieth floor of Infinity Tower. Well, once I had gotten up there, I was greeted by a pitch black robot that freaking dropkicked me out of a window, so needless to say, I'm very literally hanging around!
Sub: Wait, so you're not with Steve?
Neos: No, why?
Sub: Shit, this isn't good...
Neos: Sub, what are you going on about?
Sub: Neos, the robot that attacked you was a remastered version of the Null robot that Steve, Jackson, and I had dealt with three years ago in Orion. Grimmus designed them.
Neos: Grimmus designed them? Then why the hell are they attacking us?!
Sub: Because he didn't design them by choice! He's being held against his will by Herobrine!
Neos: What? Sub, Herobrine's dead.
Sub: Well, not as dead as we thought. He's in the mainframe; he can control everything in the city that runs on it.
Neos: So that means...
Sub: It means we're playing on his turf, not our's. He makes the rules now...
Neos: Man, this really is bad... I'm gonna try to get to Steve.
Sub: Alright. I'm on my way there, now.
As the communication between Neos and Sub ended, Sub continued his hasty drive towards the park while Neos remained on the side of Infinity Tower, still attempting to climb down to the ground; all the while, Steve began his walk onto the stage where he'd be hit with an overwhelming amount of applause and cheers from the thousands of individuals that stood in all directions as far as the eye could see. Stepping up to the microphone equipped podium, Steve took one deep breath and began to speak into the object.
Steve: Hello, people of the former kingdom of Terra, and the new TerraPrime City... I see no reason to introduce myself, as you already know who I am... As the king of what was once our lovely kingdom, I won't lie to you, it eats me up inside to know that the place we once loved is no more.. but like all things, we have some sort of hope to grasp because of such tragedy, and that hope, my friends, is what you're living in now: none other than this beautiful city that we call TerraPrime. Now, again, I understand that one cannot simply forget what we once had, but let me reassure you that what happened then will not happen again. You have my word on that...
Steve held his breath for a moment after his last set of words, as he mentally prepared himself for the following announcement; however, before he could make the announcement of his renouncement as king, he began to notice hundreds— no, thousands of Null robots appear on top of the giant buildings that surrounded the park, all equipped with enormous screens on the roofs, with each of them broadcasting Steve's speech. With the crowd and the screens all noticing Steve's concerned expression, everyone began to grow slightly panicky, and in realizing this, Steve knew he had to get the people out of the area.
Steve: Everyone, return to your homes!
Wishing to listen to what their beloved king had to say, the entirety of the crowd began their individual marches back to their own homes in a frightened manner, for they understood that such a demand couldn't have come without reason. Meanwhile, Steve made his way off the stage, with his gaze catching the horrific sight of three Null robots slowly approaching him through the crowd. Readying himself for a fight, he began to charge his fists with Delta energy before swinging for the fences, but just as the crowd had all but cleared and the Null robots began to charge at Steve, a dark blue vehicle rammed the three jet black AI with, to Steve's relief, Sub exiting the driver side.
Steve: Sub! Thank goodness you're here. What are Null robots doing here?
Sub: They're new designs. Be careful with them; I had one ambush me at my house. They're being controlled by-
Before Sub could finish his sentence, the robots he had hit with the vehicle, as well as dozens more, began to slowly surround the two males, but, yet again, a few of them would be nailed by fireballs in the distance, with Neos jumping in the middle of the robots with Steve and Sub, which only commanded the appearance of what seemed like a thousand more Null robots. As the robots began to encircle them more and more, the adult trio, with their backs to each other, readied their powers for a fight.
Neos: And here I was about to say I made it just in time.
Sub: Just in time to get your ass handed to you, maybe.
Steve: It's fine. We've been in worse situations than this. I'll end this here and now.
Without another moment's notice, Steve began to glow a green aura, levitating into the air with the Delta symbol forming in front of him.
Sub: No! Steve, wait-!
Unable to hear Sub's plea, Steve reigned fire with his massive beam of power that he had used so many times before, hammering down on the entire army of robots around them, creating a massive smoke bomb around the group. As Steve glided down from the levitating position he was in, he almost fell down upon hitting the ground, with Neos barely keeping him up, as he seemed to be gasping for air.
Steve: Damn... That took way more out of me than usual...
Sub: Yeah, well.. you're the only one it took anything out of...
Steve: Wait, what do you-
Steve looked around to notice every single Null robot making it's way back to it's feet, seeming to be unscathed by the blast of energy Steve had released.
Steve: How are they.. still standing?
Sub: Because they were programmed to absorb your power by Grimmus.
Steve: Wh-why would he.. do that?
Sub: It wasn't his choice. He was forced to by-
???: By me...
The group became caught off guard by the sudden warped voice that had entered the setting, but upon setting their collective gaze on the multiple screens that rested atop the buildings, they got their answer as to who it was. On every single screen throughout the city, a set of white eyes fathomed themselves into existence, solidifying the voice to be none other than the individual they feared the most.
Steve: Y-you... Herobrine...
Herobrine: Hehehehehehe... It sure has been awhile.. Steve...
