Not long later, kanna, Dazai, and Atsushi were all in an abandoned warehouse at night waiting for the beast to come get it's target, with Atsushi sitting on a crate with his knees up to his chest. On another crate diagonal of Atsushi sat Dazai and on his left was kanna resting her head on his lap as she slept.

The adult looked down and gave the sleeping girl a smile before returning his attention to the book he took with him.
"Dazai....sorry to interrupt but what are you reading?" Atsushi decided to break the silence with a conversation as he looked at the said man.
"A good book." He replied without sparing a glance at Atsushi.
"I'm surprised you can read when it's this dark." The teenager commented.
"I have excellent nighttime vision," Dazai said, the book he had his attention on read 'Complete Guide to Suicide' on the front cover. "Besides I've read it before, I know everything that happens in this book."
"That's funny then why are you reading it again?" Atsushi sweatdropped.
"A good book is always good." Dazai simply responded. Atsushi nervously chuckled, before his face dropped as he glanced at the sleeping child.
